Hi aust post can you please explain to me how come this morning whilst I was home - no postman / delivery person rang my door bell to give me my package??? Instead just place a card in the letterbox!?!?!? This is not acceptable!

    Nothing new here Bianca. This happens EVERY time for me. 
     
    Latest one is I just received an email from Aust post 10 mins ago, saying they 'attempted delivery' (Um, well they didn't because I'm always at home with my door open) - but this time they sent the email telling me they tried to deliver before even putting the card in my letterbox TELLING ME TO GO COLLECT !!! 
     
    Its a joke I actually pay for delivery and (a) they don't attempt at all. (b) I have to waste my time, petrol, and energy going to collect what I paid to be delivered - after 4pm mind you......, then stand in a queue, and come home in peak hour traffic. Its a joke ! Aust post's motto used to be "we deliver" but they don't.

      Because this bullshit of "carding" people is now standard practice, instead of delivering to your door like they are supposed too. 
       
      Fire them - fire the dead beat posti - for not doing their job propery. 
       
      Fire the people in the local post office - for going along with this bullshit... 
       
      HIRE couriers and send all you packages through them. 
       
      Use your gmail account and send all letters as PDF's from a formula template..... 
       
      Anything you need to buy for posting stuff - get it via Offfice works etc... 
       
      Give them the arse totally.

Fuck the Australia Post National Crawl Center

Awwww Australia Post.... Terrific.  People are so impressed with the service given by so many people in Australia Post.... The universal "Attempted Delivery" card being placed in the mail box, when the driver not only didn't bring the parcel, they never even came and knocked on the door.... Outrageous prices........ Parcels and letters going missing..... Registered mail never arriving, or getting signed for by the contractor and disappearing.... The tracking system that doesn't..... Mail taking 3 weeks to be sent from one suburb to the next......  What could be politely described as the "Go fuck yourself" policies and customer service when things are damaged or stolen.....  Packages "that could not be delivered", that end up in some Post Office,  far away, and the staff there,don't give a shit, can't find it and stuff goes missing and the customers get the run around etc... And REALLY BAD customer service..... The National Call Centre's...

Post Offices + PO Boxes = Pffft.

We do not have a street delivery where we are. The local PO has told us that anything not addressed to our PO Box will no longer be put into our box but will be kept inside behind the counter as per Australia Post advice.  When I rang Australia Post to query this they said it is  NOT the case in an area where there is no street delivery (which is what we were told when we first got a PO Box) and it is the local PO who have made this decision, not Austpost. We took the PO Box in the first place so we could actually get our mail because we couldn't get to the shop when it was open! This new policy will affect a number of customers.
