A parcel was sent to me from my mother in Urunga nsw 2455, and was supposed to be delivered to collingwood park qld 4301, the tracker and your staff have confirmed the parcel had attempted to be delivered in redbank a suburb away from mine, and the suggested the number was wrong on the address, a catalogue that my mum also sent on the same day made it to me just fine and the same address was written on the parcel, we spoke Rory online to get this issue sorted he was putting in inquiry we have heard nothing so today when I contact australia post, the news was its being held in heathwood MRO and I can not collect the parcel as they don't accept walk ins I was told that Rory has moved from the consumer department to another and that there was no enquiry placed so now we are back to square one, my mum is contacting you guys again to place another enquiry!
This incident has me questioning the reliability of Australia post and it employees!
Reposting this due to no reply:
I’ve been absolutely ripped off and cheated by your deceit and false advertising:
"Express Courier International Platinum is available over the counter at selected retail outlets for parcels up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 50cm x 50cm x 50cm.
Guaranteed delivery to major cities in 26 countries within 2 business days”
Two days? Try four days. The letter was late (and therefore invalid) and a waste of $89.55. The only saving grace was the kind woman on the other end of the line (who, by the way, agreed that it was total rubbish that the package was late and did her best to move it along).
Before your mob pull the excuse "it doesn't include customs or travel time" I must ask, why do you say "guaranteed" eh? Should it not be "guaranteed between 2 and [x] days". The deliberate mendacity is appalling.
Judging by the other comments on this page my case isn't solitary. I'll like a refund or compensation. You sold me a product that did not live up to as promised. In half a mind to take this to consumer affairs.

Good morning
I am writing to tell you how disgusting and abominable your customer service is.
I am referring, in particular your unwillingness to work with courier companies to enable parcels sent by courier companies (eg, Star Track and Couriers Please) to be delivered to parcel lockers.
I understand this is because Australia Post won't allow Courier Companies to deliver to parcel lockers unless they pay some greedy and opportunistic fee.
This week I have had two parcels redirected to depots, which I am unable to collect. How convenient.
I guess I am lucky that these courier companies are responsible, and don't just leave my parcels on the footpath outside our apartment building, in contrast to Australia Post delivery vans, who regularly do this.
It's not like Australia Post doesn't already raise the cost of postage by some heinous percentage several times a year.
As a taxpayer I find the level of service beyond disgusting and if Australia Post was an acutal business operating in a competitive market, and not a taxpyer funded government body, your organisation would have gone bankrupt decades ago.
Since the majority of parcels cannot actually be delivered to parcel lockers, I would suggest that parcel lockers are failing in their objective to offer customers a convenient option for receiving parcels. Perhaps you could redirect the funding from this failed service to another service, like perhaps not losing peoples mail.

Ahhhh so it costs $260.00 to ship a 19kg parcel to Singapore yet a parcel the same size is sent from Singapore to Australia it's under $100!
Australia Post - how frustrating!
LIKE if you are a bit fed up with increasing Aust Post rates - how can small business compete internationally when the prices are so high!
I could fly there myself for cheaper!

- Dominic Deacon Hi Nicki,
I only get one in every ten deliviries through Australia Post. There is simply no attempt made to make deliveries although AP is happily accepting charges. I was told on the phone that in this case no attempt had been made at all. Given the circumstances I think the fair thing is for AP to refund me my shipping as they have made no attempt to deliver. It's the only fair thing you can do. Anything aelse is hugely dishonest.
I'm the carer for a disabled child and its very difficult for me to leave the house during business hours and I do not have a car for when your postmen deicde to deliver my mail to a facility three suburbs away despite there being many nearer options. Frankly AP should also be covering my taxi charges which will be significant.
I did contact your compaints line and was told that postmen are not allowed to ring doorbells. "People have babies and there are shift workers so we had too many complaints and we're not allowed to ring doorbells anymore."
I asked then whether I needeed to be standing on the front lawn when the delivery van truck goes past to recieve a parcel and was told: "yeah... or maybe they'll see through the window. Look I'm not a delivery man."
Of course this is all totally untrue and made up on the spot by the man on the phone. When your phone staff are as dishonest as the service itself then what are we suppossed to do?

Just like to warn everyone out there considering using Australia posts services. I have been busy for the last 2 going on 3 months trying to get $300 from them that they owe me due to a pay on pickup service. They delivered it to the guys door instead so of course he didn't pay and they are now telling me they will only compensate me $100 even though its there fault. I have been constantly on the phone chasing up the matter, have given the guys details and reciept numbers proof etc and the only responce is we will get back to you in which they never do. Most unprofessional company I have ever been through.

Hi, I run an online business and every single day for the last 16 business days I've had something not turn up to the recipient. And nothing comes back as return to sender either. This isn't an exaggeration and when I phone you guys to see what's going on I get told to use 'registered post' which isn't cost effective for my business. How can you possibly lose so many parcels? Do you even care?
