Can someone explain to me why Australia posts dispute resolution process is so ridiculous?
We have had at least 3 expensive item be delivered to the wrong address in the last few months, and even though the local manage has followed up and admitted they have been delivered and signed for at the wrong address, the official response has been nothing but BS,
A fraud investigation was ""carried"" as one of the items was signed for with a scribble of my name, the item kept and never returned. the investigation did not seem to go any further than what we can view with the on-line tracking, even though the local manage again new where the item had been left.
A compensation claim has been made by the sender and a cheque received for about $9, with a note saying full balance of claim, $9 did not cover the postage fee, nor the $250 item inside, or funny enough the extra $4 paid to have it signed for.
Another item was also delivered to the wrong address, on this account the sender had to make a claim, and we were quite rudely told we were lying, even though again the manager, with checking with the driver found again that the parcel delivered to the wrong end of the st. Now we are being told, that to take this further the sender needs to make a compensation claim for lost items,
to date we are out of pocket approx $900 for items delivered to the wrong address and Australia post is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with, many of the staff manning the phone are rude and argumentative and do not have the power or inclination to help
Australia seems to think if you give people the run around with a massively time consuming, frustrating process we will just give or forget about..
THE FACT IS, YOU HAVE FAILED IN YOU SERVICE AND ARE AT FAULT. Ignoring the problem is not the same as solving it, How have i not even had an apology, phone call or any sign that you give a F^&(),
Austrial post has done nothing but waist our time with the number of issues / claims we have open at the moment, and this matter will be taken to the Postal industry ombudsmen.
