This gets you straight to the endless thousands of complaints - minus all the clubby land Australia Post adds and phoney corporate friends bullshit.....

https://www.facebook.com/australiapost?viewas=0&sk=wiki&rf=110779542283023&filter=2

And the bad products, bad service - just go on and on and on and on....

Some issues - they carry on for YEARS....  2009 - 2014;

Same buggy products / non functional website features / etc., etc., etc...

The only thing that happens at Australia Post is the prices go up, the service goes down and more and more consumers choose else where.

    Worst website ever!
How do I make an online payment for my PO box? This website either has too much information or is badly organised. Please put a payments link on your home page?

Hi Auspost, Have you managed to find my item yet that has been floating around in your system for the last 20 days?????? I have sent numerous messages and made several phone calls to try and get you to actually start looking. It appears as though you are putting more effort into fobbing me off than getting off your butts and actually looking for it? Looks like I may need to get the Postal Industry Ombudsman to help me out here!

I Posted a few Items on the 8th April all prepaid postage satchels that were handed over at the post office the problem is when I go to check the tracking numbers all of them have been delivered but one hasn't even been done yet. It says no event for this item why would l be getting this even though all the other have gone.

Hey guys. Just wondering how long it usually takes for money to transfer to my Load n Go balance when I use 'pay anyone' from my bank account? I transferred money over 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't appeared. Thanks!
  6. Absolutely astounded by the complete lack of knowledge by your staff in regards to British passports.

On your website you say "We can help you prepare your application, declaration, photos and documentation at one of our participating retail outlets."

So, if this is the case, please explain why I've had to make FOUR different trips to two different post offices in Melbourne (both providing British passport "services"), regarding sending off my British passport. At each visit, they have mixed up my documents, tried to send the wrong ones off and stuffed up the online form they fill in. This has left me to leave and come back the next day to see if someone more knowledgeable is working. Alas, it is day four, and nothing.

On each occasion at these outlets I've been greeted with some sort of remark like "OH a BRITISH passport? You do realise that we haven't been told anything and we don't know what to check, don't you?" and following this, they've tried to send off things like my father's passport (not a required document) and my drivers license (also not a required document), which I need in Australia, not the UK.

I ended up having to call the UK and speak to them directly because of the incredibly poor training of your staff.

Quote by one of your staff members today "because we don't know what we're doing, you're just wasting your money paying us to check it" and then she told me to "buy a bag and do it myself".

I'm not sure how you could possibly charge people $20/$25 for this "application review" when your staff DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE REVIEWING!

Looking through the posts on your wall by others, it seems I am not the only one complaining about your passport "service". Unbelievable. Pick up your game and stop messing your customers around.
  7. Hi, how/who do I contact regarding tracking number -3RZ0012670010820. I don't know who the parcel is from but clearly it is not for me or an incorrect address as I am in victoria and it says the parcel is in NSW. I cant reply to the email as it says no reply.

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to ask for this kind of help but within this part fortnight I've been applying and getting my documentation complete for my passport interview and I've ran into this one particular snag that's to do with the birth certificate/Australian citizenship documentation of either of my parents that is required to complete the form. Unfortunately I have neither and the originals are presumed destroyed however I do have my parents marriage and divorce papers that features the birth date, place of birth etc of my father, the document is in the same uniform as the Australian Births, Deaths and Marriages and I was just wondering if that would suffice in place of my fathers birth certificate.

I'm applying the passport through my post office in town, which is why I thought I could ask here.

    Thanks
    • Eva Rutterford d'Este You should be able to apply to the appropriate Births, Deaths and Marriages office for a copy. you'll just have to wait until they send it to you

A little disappointed today. I used express post yesterday to send a gift voucher for my daughters birthday today. My belief was that express post was next day delivery anywhere...after checking the tracker this evening I discover express post does not cover certain areas...my complaint is..why couldn't the assistant tell me that at the point of sale. It cost me $6 instead of a card rate...not happy Jan.

I lodged a express post envelope over the counter at my local PO - and received a receipt for it.

It did not show up the next day - in fact it too 3 days to show up at my customer.

My customer has just sent me a photo of the envelope that shows a sticker saying it was posted in the incorrect red street box.

The post office has obviously put it in the box outside the PO instead of lodging it correctly. What further action can I take - as the PO I go to seems to do this regularly to me - but this is the first time I have the evidence to prove they are not lodging my parcels correctly....

Hi Auspost. I have been waiting on the delivery of a parcel from the US since February and it still has not arrived. It was apparently sent via USPS with the number CJ23485950US - when I go to their site, they tell me that number is now invalid (I had checked on the status successfully before) The last time i checked, the item was apparently in Australia. Are you able to help me locate this? I've tried to contact USPS and have had no response. Thank you!

One again, we have sent several parcels to various places in Australia via Australia Post. We posted them on Monday morning in Bundaberg. One to Wulguru in North Queensland was received by the addressee on Tuesday. Many kudos to those concerned - absolutely top service. But then one to Victoria Point in Brisbane was not delivered until Thursday (today). From Monday to Thursday for a parcel from Bundy to Brisbane. Come on you are having me on. You gotta be.

  17. Why were these 7 parcels sent to wrong post office?

they are all clearly labelled to be sent to :

    Robert Barcikowski
    Parcel Collect 10012 60794
    837 Bourke Street
    DOCKLANDS, VIC 3008

but were all sent to :

    440 COLLINS STREET
    MELBOURNE VIC 3000

One of the parcels has hand writing that states "no such address", so clearly your delivery drivers do not know that there is a post office at Docklands as per your website:

    http://auspost.com.au/pol/app/locate?poiType=parcel-collect&location=3008&service=parcel-collect

  18. I'm not sure if I'd be too proud to have a Facebook page Australia Post. Somehow, you've lost my passport, which is a registered postal item from the Australian Passport Office, in a simple transfer of about 8½ kilometres by road!

8 days and counting! And now it looks like I'm going to have to get a new passport for $244 plus the priority processing fee ($108) plus a passport cancellation fee ($108) all because of your bungling ineptitude.

No doubt this post will be deleted but maybe you should consider leaving it and try to defend this incredibly poor performance instead.

How can you be trusted with mail if you can't even transfer registered mail such a short distance?

Enquiry lodged 18th March re missing international express article, incident number 140316-000115. No updates provided and two emails not responded to - less than impressive customer service you have going there.
not happy! i ordered something and paid for delivery only to find a card in my letterbox saying item needs to be collected from post office as i had missed delivery. I WAS HOME ALL DAY AND WE HAVE LOUD DOORBELL! I have 2 toddlers plus a newborn - i am recovering from c-section so unable to even drive to come and collect the parcel. I have been on the phone everyday this week to try and sort this out and get it re-delivered as i am unable to collect it (which is why i paid for the item to be delivered!). the problem is still unresolved and i am still waiting for my parcel.

not sure if it is worth my time writing on this page considering how many complaints I have seen so far. I have had a parcel marked as delivered yet there is not sign of it at my house. What can I do? I guess nothing considering it was sent parecl post. Seriously your prices have increased yet your service has decreased. Unfair to us consumers considering that an alternative service is not yet available.

Australia Post: “if you please everyone you please no-one”. How staff in Kings Meadows post office haven’t yet ‘gone postal’ is beyond me. Every time I go there, queue is out the door. Today was the same, with only 3 staff on. People in front of me walked out (good!) but the lady in front of me still waited 15mins to buy 1 stamp. How about an Express Lane for ACTUAL postal stuff (stamps & mail pick-up only) which could serve other customers when free? Maybe it’s good you’re replacing not only banks but also phone companies, stationery/toy/confectionary stores but it’s encroaching on your core business…leading to me the passport debacle. Last week I did what you asked: went online, booked passport appointment, printed & completed all forms, got photos done elsewhere beforehand. I arrived on time, ready to just submit & pay - only to find a couple had walked in just before me and were now at the counter trying to get both their passport applications done, as well as photos which weren’t working, whilst I waited for 15 mins because only 1 person there could complete passports. I’m busy, I shift work, so I followed the process YOU prescribe (efficient for both your staff and me) yet it didn’t work. Here’s an idea: how about a diary at post offices that do passports which blocks out the time that people book online? Then if someone else waltzes in wanting to do a full passport application without any prepared documents or photos, they can be told “sorry the next appointment is due in 2 mins, you’ll need to make an appointment yourself or wait until they’re finished”. Today I went to collect my passport (registered mail) and waited 19 minutes to do a 1 minute task. If there was another way believe I’d use it!

I have had it with lazy Australia Post delivery workers. Several parcels over the last few months have been delivered to the completely wrong address, even though the correct address is clearly written on the envelope/parcel.
Last week a valuable parcel was delivered to #496 of my street despite being clearly labelled #371 of my street. Do your delivery drivers not read?
I've had too many valuable items go missing and I never ever see them.
Aus post you're a disgrace 90% of the time.

  • Australia Post Hi Tilly,

I am very sorry to hear that your valuable parcel was delivered to the wrong address. I agree there is definitely a big difference between 496 and 371.

I would be happy to follow up on this issue for you. Can you please Private Message your details.

    The details I require
    Your email
    Phone number
    Full street address
Tracking number that was on your valuable parcel
    URL/Link to this conversation

    Thanks

    Marty
  • Tilly MyKat Thanks for your reply Marty, but fortunately this particular time the business at #496 contacted me by phone to tell me my package was delivered to them by mistake. In past times it has happened, the recipient of the package has obviously just kept the parcel because I've sure as heck never seen them.
  • Peter Adams At least you got a response from them Tilly. Last time I posted Marty ignored it. Australia Post is beginning to give the Royal Mail a run for their money on the incompetence stakes. #SadTimes
  • Tilly MyKat A response won't matter for me anyway Peter. They still lose too many parcels with and without tracking numbers. They still fail to deliver items when there are people home ALL day every day and several cars out the front. It's just like talking to a brick wall really.
  • Peter Adams Aside from the Muppet mail man on a bike trashing the front lawn our van delivery driver likes to deliver parcels as it they are frisbees. #PoorWorkEthics
  • Tilly MyKat The biggest problem here is that they don't even bother to walk to the front door to knock or ring the doorbell. As I said there is ALWAYS someone at home and plenty of cars out front to prove it. No menacing dogs, also no gates or fences. Just literally a front door a few metres from the street.
  • Tilly MyKat #lazy
  • Jules Buckland They tried to tell me over and over that they could not redeliver it. When I started to mention congaing the ombudsmen they changed their mind and made him bring it to me.
  • Tilly MyKat Excellent. Well I will most certainly be making them redeliver it next time because I am paying a premium for the service. If I wanted to pick it up I'd send with a courier and save a tonne of $$$.

What is going on Australia Post? A parcel was sent to me from Sydney on Tuesday, via Express Post but it hasn't left your Chullora facility since and no one seems able to tell me why or when I will actually receive it! Tracking number is MEY1058537010223. How hard is it to take a parcel to Sydney Airport and put it on a plane to Adelaide? I needed that parcel urgently and now my only hope to have it on time is if it happens to be flown to Adelaide this afternoon, but I've been told that is unlikely.
  • Australia Post Hi Eva,

I’m sorry that your parcel has not yet been delivered. I can understand your frustrations with the parcel being Express Post and it still not being received.

The scans indicate the parcel is still currently in transit. Unfortunately, there is no more information available that may explain why there may be a delay. Have you notified the sender that you haven’t received the parcel yet?

    Cris
  • Eva Rutterford d'Este Yes I have. Surely someone can contact whoever scanned it last and find out what they did with it afterwards? I needed the contents of that parcel half an hour ago at the absolute latest. What is the point of paying for fast delivery AND tracking if it is neither fast nor tracked?
  • Eva Rutterford d'Este To add insult to injury, when I called 13 POST to try to check on the progress of the delivery, they told me it could take up to five days! This was AFTER I pointed out that it was due to arrive yesterday!

What is wrong with the delivery drivers in the Pascoe Vale area?! This is the second time this week where I have heard of drivers not attempting to deliver the parcel.
I paid a lot of money for an express post from Hong Kong. Somehow they managed to get it to Australia in 12 hours but 3 + days to get to me.
I checked your app yesterday morning and it said "on board with driver" so I stayed by the door all day and nothing. Checked my app again this morning and it said "attempted delivery and card left".
No one knocked on my door nor did they leave a card. If it wasn't for me checking my app I wouldn't have even known it was sitting at the post office waiting for me.
Is it really that hard to do what you're supposed to do and deliver the item?!

Hi, I´m trying to locate a package posted from Australia to Chile, tracking number: LX534913941AU . According to the chilean post, this package never arrived in Chile, on the other hand, Australia post says that this item was delivered. I am the receiver and this parcel never arrived. When I put the tracking number on you page it says that this item is not trackable. There are important documents on this package and I really need an answer about where this package is, if that was delivered I need to know who signed it, because I clearly do not have it. Thanks.

EFFECTIVE MASSIVE PRICE INCREASE FOR CLICK AND SEND USERS.. that use the so called "flat rate boxes"
Why don't Australia Post give proper notice? Specially where these boxes are purchased in bulk to start with. What is the return policy? As these boxes will be "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" as originally sold (and continued to be sold as supporting up to 15kg, even though a change will happen in approx 1 month).

(below post originally by Peter Frith)
WARNING
Australia Post has made some changes to the Australia Post/eBay flat rate box weight limits available to eBay sellers via the eBay website.
Previously any Australia Post/eBay flat rate box (regardless of size) could hold up to a maximum of 15kg. The weight limits for eBay flat rate boxes have been revised to introduce a 1kg, 3kg and 5kg weight break for BX1, BX2 and BX4 respectively.
The weight limits have been adjusted to reflect the cost associated with sending items of that size (as the cost of shipping relates not only to the physical size of the item, but also the weight.)
For sellers with items over 5kg, Australia Post offers a range of parcel solutions which are priced based on distance and weight. These solutions are also available via the eBay website.
Australia Post recognises that these changes may impact eBay sellers and will be providing a 6 week grace period where we will continue to accept items up to 15kg in these three box sizes. However, from 12 May 2014 the new weight limits will be enforced.
  • Luke Waples Just an example for people.. to send a 15kg box (BX1) to Darwin costs $8.53. However come May, it will cost $92.
  • Australia Post Hi Luke,

I’m sorry for any confusion with the changes. We are of course working to have these changes communicated clearly as soon as possible. We understand that not everyone will be privy to these changes, which is why we have offered the six week grace period, to avoid any disappointment.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and we’ll be happy to help you out.

    Cris
  • Luke Waples When does the 6 week grace period start? From 12th May? As I haven't seen any official announcement. You have to agree it is a massive price increase.
  • Jason Lazyboy Australia Post why the price jump as mentioned above? Increase of $83.47 please explain?
  • Bryan Amos The blurb SHOULD read "...The weight limits for eBay flat rate boxes have been revised to make us vastly more sums of money..."
Ordered 3 Parcels in the last month. Complained to the website I got the parcels from only to discover upon receiving the tracking number that they had both been sitting in the post office for days. I received no card in the mail to say I missed a package. My partner has been home all day and the doorbell did not ring either. Your staff need to actually do their job - deliver mail.

How can you hire someone who absolutely 100% fails at their primary role of their job in delivering mail? You may as well fire all of them and just hire a few drivers to deliver mail from the airport straight to the post office, and then get them to pick it up once it's been sitting at the post office for too long to get returned to the sender - because that's the service I'm currently expecting from you.

I've read countless complaints by other people and all you do is tiptoe around and make excuses. The funniest excuse I read was "the package was delivered and put in your mailbox" when the person lived in an apartment building with a locked mailbox that only flat letters could fit in. This is my situation. Perhaps your staff don't know that not everybody can afford to live in a house and don't know that sometimes people live in close quarters in what's called an "apartment block" where there's a set of numbers on the front door which you can press the number of which is displayed on the mail and magically it buzzes their door! Failing that, perhaps they could take 17 seconds to stop and write a card letting them know that they missed a parcel.

I'm getting really sick of this, really fast. Guess I'll just have to pay the extra and get actual service from another courier company who does their job. I suggest everyone else does the same.

  • Madelyn CK I can cosign this, I've been home all day as I'm on holidays. No ring, no note. Parcels waiting for weeks. It's simply unacceptable. And my partner is supposed to take time of HIS work to pick up the packages because YOUR employees can't be bothered doing their job? I don't think so. If this isn't sorted out tomorrow, we'll have to start requesting that senders use alternate methods to ship our goods, and do so ourselves. Not impressed.
