  • Saphira Von Wilde I personally find the prices very reasonable, every business has got to make money, the moment it ceases to make money we will lose it as a service,

  • Paul Yates For service we receive no value for money, letters taking days to get to where they are going some are short journey,, parcels out of Melbourne taking same or more time than parcels out of the UK. Then those poor contract delivery parcel guys contracting at a low price to keep or get the work the reason why parcel not delivered to home but post office quicker to slip a card in letter box,,

  • Rob Bruce You need to remember that whilst Australia Post is a Dept of the Australian Government they have a duty to return a profit to the government. This is very different to most Depts which often work at a tremendous cost to the Australian Tax Payer. As for letters, it is from memory, necessary for them to work within very strict guidelines relating to delivery timeframes. Yes sometimes letters take longer than usual, but I challnge you to send a document from here to Perth by courier and pay 50 cents. Also said courier would take as long, if not longer to deliver the document. Australia Post isn't without its flaws and anyone who works and or deals with them are well aware of it. It is however a great service at a reasonable price, considering the distances that need to be covered and the remoteness of some of the regions they deal with.

  • Kurai Shōnin why is there no option for insanely expensive?
    April 8, 2013 at 6:54pm ·

  • Kurai Shōnin I had no idea about these price hikes. I tried to pass on the savings I made recently onto my consumers so that some with lighter wallets could afford the good quality products I sell. Instead, I have now lost $40 in shipping prices. and for what?? because 70% of their business is based around parcels, so we make good cash cows? The price hike from last year already dropped my sales and this one will likely kill what little online business I do have.

  • Kurai Shōnin australia should never have one main company for anything, it gives them too much freedom to charge what they like, they are hurting the australian businesses they are lying about protecting and are scum for lining their pockets without putting in the work for it

  • Dane Clarke I also would have liked to see an option that more closely approximated my feelings about this right now. Something like "Make me sick to my stomach!". May their chooks turn to emus and kick their shithouses down!

  • Keegan Miniatures $25 to the USA, $37.50 to Europe on a $10.00 item, Australia post is only a front for the Australian Govt (MAJOR SHAREHOLDER of the POSTAL MONOPOLY) And when did Australians become a "SECURITY THREAT" to the USA. Julia is just grabbing money for to pay for her $90,000 pay rise in 2011 (along with a minimum of $40,000 per Federal Minister. Leave online retailers alone so they can boost export revenue for Australia and these useless ministers.

  • Bob Jones This International post cost is a mega rip off, we sell on eBay and no one wants to pay Australia post prices.

  • Adam Williams No wonder international businesses are cleaning up on our Aussie customers. Free Shipping on a $3 item. Pretty easy when the cost of that product was .20c and postage is $1.70 from Hong Kong Postal Service. Now it all makes sense....

    April 16, 2013 at 6:05pm

  • Gayle Mills I just paid $54 to send our father in law his credit card in the mail to Baili!!! I couldn't send in a standard envelope as fear of it being 'lost' so we had to put it into a large hard secure envelope with tracking and insurance . Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

  • David Booth And to add insult to injury, the bastards refuse to deliver parcels to my address. I've even taken a bundle of letters from our postie that had a "sorry you were out" card in the middle of it.
