Sacking 900 people from their jobs whilst taking $4.8 million from a Government monopoly in a challenged market amounts to irresponsible corporate greed and should not be rewarded or tolerated. Mr Fahour's position is no longer tenable or viable. It is now public perception that he simply must be sacked.

The CEO & Managing Director of Australia Post (100% owned by the Australian Commonwealth Government) Mr Ahmed Fahour was paid $4,800,000 last year.
Despite the climate of change whereby Mr Fahour says the collapse in regular mail being sent across Australia means the company is in urgent need of major reform; he has announced the reduction of 900 jobs instead of addressing massive executive salaries including his own.
According to the public information available, the top 10 executives of Australia Post collectively earn more than $20,000,000 per year in salaries.
Mr Fahour's $4.8 million is extreme when compared to similar roles.
Based upon the assumption of the average wage being $65k pa (Bureau of Statistics info) Mr Fahour is paid the equivalent of 73.846 salaries from the public purse.
This is more concerning when this failing CEO is getting paid more than 8.7 times more than his counterpart in the USA, despite the US Postal Service being almost 20 times the size!
Mr Fahour wants to sack 900 admin staff who probably don't even earn $65k per year; yet he has publicly refused to address executive salaries or answer questions about his own remuneration.
This seems to be the wrong attitude and outlook for a head of Government organisation and a failure to provide appropriate leadership of a Commonwealth owned company that is by Mr Fahour's own admission an organisation that is financially suffering.
Ahmed Fahour has announced that he will be asking the Government to change the regulations in the Australia Post corporate plan so that it is no longer required to provide standard delivery services 5 days a week.

Please terminate the CEO & Managing Director of Australia Post as his position is no longer tenable when he wishes to sack 900 workers to protect his $4,800,000pa ($4.8 Million) remuneration package which is the equivalent of 73.846 jobs at $65,000pa.
