Uhhh Fuck - I had to deal with Australia Post - AGAIN - today....

I needed some parts.

BOC - who have a reputation amongst many professionals as employing people who have never even welded, acting as salesmen for welding equipment - and they haven't got a fucking clue - about anything...

Raised by people that taught them that cooking was a pizza home delivery,  fixing shit was buying another from Kmart, and watching neighbors on TV was an intellectual pursuit.



Once many years ago I hammered my way through 15 departments and 23 people, to find out the diameter of a G sized argon cylinder....

All the fuckwit hoi-ti-toi-ti admins and technical people and just stupid cunts....

Bright comments like, "Oh what do you want to know that for?"

a) Probably because I don't know; or

b) Either you know the fucking answer or you don't - so which is it?


Everyone of the fucking people I talked to in BOC - none of them could answer the question.

No idea, no idea on how to find out, no idea where the information was, no incentive to go find out..... Raaaaa Deeee Raaaaaaa Raaaaaaaa....



The only guy who was actually of any help, was some guy in some depot in Tasmania - who trotted outside with a tape measure, and said, "It's xxx cm in circumference."


And I was glad - that that he wasn't a push over spineless cunt,  meaning that in telling me the circumference that I could go and work out the diameter myself...

Circ = x / Pi.


BOC and all the dead wood on the payroll - well they charge wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much for a lot of things... and after taking out a contract for cylinder hire, and not actually ever getting a cylinder - from an actual retailer - which was all traceable on the paperwork, some dumb fucking bitch started all this heavy handed shit to try and make me pay for a cylinder that I never hired.

Go through their own paper work.... "Ohhhh Noooo"

So what was the crack whore doing? Trying to get some cash for her smack habit?


And given that this company is just filled with dumb cunts...  when we go to get gear from the retail store....

The last 3 times...


1. "Well how can people buy them, if you don't fucking stock them?"

2. Instructing a fucking clueless sales guy, on how to fit a remote amperage control to a TIG welder that does not have one, by tapping into the circuit board, wiring in a switch and routing a port to another potentiometer, on a remote lead, and bypassing the one in the unit...

And the stupid cunt... "Oh oh you know if you do that you might void your warranty..."

Understands nothing about electricity, circuits, circuit boards, components etc...

Everything in "The lesson" - non of it is absorbed or understood or put into good use later on...

And the idiot comes out with a statement like that....


3. The electrodes were marked as containing rare earth elements - but the fucking packet didn't list which ones...

An entire supply chain of stupid cunts in BOC who don't list "FUNDAMENTAL" product information on products - only part numbers...


So in instructing the manager type person of that store - I said "You need to contact the manager of the supply chain and get this fixed, once and for all... you, the customers coming into the store, sales people not knowing what the products are, and every one always having to look up part numbers... - if it was written on the package - everyone would know what it was without having to do all that shit... - you gotta get this fixed..."

And the cunt said, "Oh here is the number of the technical service dept, give them a ring..."

I said, "What should be a 3 minute on the phone sale, is now dragging on for 1/2 an hour, involving 3 or 4 different people, several departments."

"And assuming I was worth say $120 an hour, do you really expect me to pay an additional $60 in losses on top of the $34 pack of electrodes - because you people don't have your shit together enough to label the packets properly?"

"Do you know how easy it is to bypass this supply chain entirely and buy from Ebay - or other online stores? Where they list ALL the relevant information about what they are selling - with the product - and I don't get told or need to go on fishing expeditions to find out the basics about the product?"

I mean the retail experience is a series of never ending stupid shit....

Or the not infrequent "Oh oh oh don't talk to me like that!" - slams the phone down.


And BOC - have priced themselves totally out of the market on gasses......


The greed, the incompetence, the bullshit with every purchase....


I have had enough....



Rang my friend Bob... "Bob - I need some electrodes..." Bob sends them down to me.

He uses Australia Post....

The were few delays on his end... ransom malware on his PC... coming from a FAKED Australia Post email...

And anyway, the package should have been here a week ago....

Because the local LPO has queer ideas on customer service, he's out of the loop permanently, and we get everything either directly via couriers or the last mile of delivery by courier... It's just worth paying EXTRA to get good service, instead of paying less for bad service.....

So what has happened...

The Australia Post dude delivering it to the couriers, has for what ever reason, attempted delivery to them twice, at around +2pm - and they are out of there by about 11am, and they have not been carded either....

But by this stage, I don't know any of the last part, so I ring Bob, and say, "Australia Post is taking a bit long with this delivery...."

We talk much, I encourage Bob to move his PC over to Xubuntu - Linux... instead of Microsoft's software....

I hear from Bob, more tales of crap about BOC - because these customers are the people who turn to Bob for hardware, after being so fucked around by BOC..

Bob tells me that he is sick of the bullshit with Australia Post and the "Go fuck yourself attitude" in the customer service dept - and the costs etc., so he is getting his deliveries, done by Fastway Couriers, who do most of Australia.

We part company and Bob emails me the tracking number and what comes out of it is that twice in the last week the delivery guy has turned up when the couriers are not there, and they have not been carded... and .......

So I ring a local post office near the couriers depot... they can't give me the delivery centre number....

They can only give me the national crawl centre....

So I ring them.

None of this "The hold time is approximately 15 minutes - press X to keep your place in the cue and get a call back."

Nope... just endless fucking Australia Post piss in your pocket adds...

For fifteen minutes...

Useless person number one...


I hang up on them.

Try again...

Useless person number two....

Who then transfers me to useless person number three....


Except for it wasting good money.. and having no effect on the person I am having to deal with - ALL I want to do is throw the phone through the fucking wall......

"Policy, policy, policy - Repeat what I said to them, back to me as statements and questions - repeat, repeat, repeat...  Blahhh dee blah blah... policy, policy, policy, repeat, repeat, repeat......"

This is making suicide look like such a step up in a depression...



On the basis of ONE person, delivering a package, when they know or probably should know, that the couriers are not at the depot....

TWICE in one week - and NOT carding them....

Well I have made some 5 or 6 calls to the courier in the last 2 weeks...

That has tied me and them up....

I have called my friend Bob.

And that has tied me and him up.

Bob has dumped Australia Post and their E-parcel system, for Fastway Couriers.

Bob might also dump Microsofts Crapware.... for Linux.


And my favorite courier... he tells me that TNT are expensive but they are good, like he got a package back to Bendigo by 3pm, and it was delivered in Sydney by 2pm the next day....

He was truly impressed.

So I am thinking - that thanks to this one person, for what ever reason, not leaving a card for my couriers, TWICE in one week, that the package has been delayed by like 8 days, beyond the original sending time....

I have wasted many calls to my couriers, to the sender, and even to the national crawl centre....

And this is the consequential flow on effect - like the person who pulled their finger out of the dyke and caused the whole valley to flood....



Well how it's all wound up, is that the young fellow safe dropped the package to a place a few doors up....

And that is good.



For me, I like certainty.

Once the product has been paid for, to then get it delivered ASAP, and in use, ASAP...

I hate it when things in transit, end up in limbo and I have to do a whole heap of running around... because someone else fucked it up....

I have better things to think about and better things to concern myself with, than other peoples issues, when I am tied to them by contract.

So like it might cost me $9 to get something delivered by Australia Post - but it costs me 10 phone calls and 2 or so hours - which involved like 5 or 6 other people, in chasing this shit up, to find out where it is and what has gone wrong.

That is why I don't want to get involved with people or enterprises that cost me and a lot of other people, 20 x as much as what the contract was worth.



A simple Pro's and Con's or Assets and Deficits or Income and Losses list.

These folks keep you operational - These drive you out of business.


Yes to Bob.                                                   No to BOC.

Yes to Fastway Couriers.                             No to Australia Post.
