I paid through the roof to get some stuff express posted to me - if I paid $10-$15 for express for 2 day delivery I really should have got my goods by last week. No go. It’s more than a week later and SO said he’ll go do the fucktard postman/contractor’s job and go collect our stuff – out of his time when I paid for them to drop it off without having to bother us at work. Every other fucking time I can get stuff delivered to our postal address with no hassles. No card that they missed me. No correspondence about anything. Their “tracking your parcel” website told me that the items were in transit.

I have a right to be pissed. I work shit long hours and I can’t afford to take time off to go collect mail. Especially when I paid for it to come to my postal address and be dropped off on the day.

Looks like my anger towards no mail is minor and more like pissed off I didn’t get my mail than these people:
Australia Post is subject to Australian consumer law which includes “All Australian traders, whether online or running a bricks and mortar operation, must comply with Australian trading laws. This includes laws on consumer guarantees.”
I’ve had problems with Australia Post not letting me do business stuff like insurance and SO had some hassles from them because “he had an accent” and they were being rude to him for buying “Australian only products” (it was for travel purposes and he is “Australian” you).

It seems like Australia Post has become significantly worse. They charged crazy amounts from under $100 for a PO BOX and now it’s like $110-$115 for a year – really not good enough. And don’t get me started on their outsourced call centers. Apparently one of my co-workers had the shits with them for similar reasons. I feel incredibly bad SO is going down there when he could be studying or sleeping in. I waited a fucking week and paid express for shit!

Now they had a special about this “Express” service with Today Tonight, like maybe 1-3 years ago, and people were having things stolen and not getting their goods. Then Australia Post turned around and said “oh we only promise our express bag will come in 2 days not the contents of the parcel.”

The Ombudsman was fucking useless with trying to sort out why I’m being charged for business fees when they don’t let me use them. As usual everyone wants to make a hoo ha about “national economic debt” or whatever bullshit they want to call it – YOU DON’T SELL A FUCKING POSTAL (THE ONLY POSTAL) NETWORK IN AUSTRALIA. It would be like facebook trying to buy our post and reading it before giving it to us. Australia Post and privatization of our only Australian postal service? Their services would get so so so much worse.
Now I’m not the only person who hares Australia Post, but am I the only person? – HAHAHA not by a long shot.

Awwww Australia Post.... Terrific.  People are so impressed with the service given by so many people in Australia Post.... The universal "Attempted Delivery" card being placed in the mail box, when the driver not only didn't bring the parcel, they never even came and knocked on the door.... Outrageous prices........ Parcels and letters going missing..... Registered mail never arriving, or getting signed for by the contractor and disappearing.... The tracking system that doesn't..... Post Offices + PO Boxes = Pffft.

We do not have a street delivery where we are. The local PO has told us that anything not addressed to our PO Box will no longer be put into our box but will be kept inside behind the counter as per Australia Post advice.  When I rang Australia Post to query this they said it is  NOT the case in an area where there is no street delivery (which is what we were told when we first got a PO Box) and it is the local PO who have made this decision, not Austpost. We took the PO Box in the first place so we could actually get our mail because we couldn't get to the shop when it was open! This new policy will affect a number of customers. First comments: Ms Holgate said she felt privileged to be appointed as CEO of such an iconic Australian corporation and, "one of the most resilient and successful postal businesses anywhere in the world". What she really means that she is either completely out of touch with reality or is a weasel wording corporate bullshit artist.
