Seriously.....
It's been one of those weeks where "shoot them selves in the foot" type people, all combine into one unyielding mass of problems....
OK I order two rolls of automotive wiring....
I ask them to send the package plain postage.... you know, no signature on delivery - so the local agent drops it off and goes on his way...
So what does the local agent do? They hold onto the package, don't card me, and after a week, they send the package back...
And then the guy at the automotive wiring place, says in a way that indicates it's at their warehouse...
"Oh it's been here to pick up but Australia Post says it has a funny number, and they can't pick it up." (from us)..
So I asked the guy to send it out via Fastway couriers, and he tells me he will organise it today.
A few days later, still no arrival - ring the couriers etc. and then the wiring suppliers...
Turns out that after a week of sitting at the post office, the local Australia Post agents, are sending it back.
And it has not been sent by the couriers...
So I ask the clueless fuck at the auto wiring place, to bag up a couple of rolls of wire and just sent them via the couriers - today.
Can't do - Excuse? "Oh well we can't send anything out until we get the other package back."
Yeah the one package, that she has all the tracking information on, right in front of her.... on the screen, and the package has been in Australia Post's possession all along....
Three or so days to get back there, and then another couple of days turn around and another three or so days to resend it... toss in a week end amongst it all....
So Mrs Shit for Brains, decides that I the paying customer, have to wait even longer because she said so....
And then add this onto the 10 or so days that have already elapsed.....
Makes mental note to buy from Ebay instead of them.
So I actually decide to complain about the local agent to the Australia Post HQ, about refusing to deliver a package marked for straight - no signature on delivery....
What do I get?
Some fucking smart arse telling me that I have to supply him with the tracking number, on a package I don't have...
Meaning that I have to go do the run around to get the information, about a delivery "they" fucked up, and didn't deliver and then call them back... because he can't be fucked doing his job.
And when I put it to him to contact the local agent himself to get that information, he gives me the "Oh it's not my job (to do that)." bullshit....
Arranged for redelivery via the wiring place, by calling them on a Monday, and I asked them to resend it by Fastway couriers - who do door to door - to keep Australia Post out of the loop - more specifically the local agency.....
Come Wednesday - no arrival. Turns out the nuff nuff had rung them on the Monday but was waiting for a call back......
I asked him to just contact THEM (Fastway) and get it on a truck....(All this fucking around - idiot) and he said he would.
But what did fuck knuckle do? He used the couriers that they usually use - "Couriers Please" who deliver to all the metro areas, and guess who they use for delivery to regional areas.....
Australia Fucking Post....
So the parcel comes back up here, does a U turn and then gets sent back.... from here, to Australia Post in Melbourne, who then transfer it back to Couriers Please and then they deliver it back to the Nuff Nuff wiring Co.
So I ask fuck knuckle at the Nuff Nuff Wiring Co, to resend it by Fastway (Toll / DHL etc...) - and he says, "I have lost more on this sale, than the product is worth... so I am not resending it."
So here is the victory for the local LPO and the flow on effects.
They refused to deliver a package marked "No signature on delivery required" - and the back handling lost Australia Post a heap of money.
They wasted like 10 days of my and other peoples time while they held onto it and said nothing.
They cost the supplier a shit load of money and left a bad taste about Australia Post in their mouths....
They have done the same thing with other packages marked "No signature on delivery required"....
Some 5 or 6 have been returned.
There have been FOUR bowel scan kits go missing, one was sent - never arrived so I asked for a resend - that never turned up either, and so on and so forth.
A whole bunch of legal documents were never delivered.
And the list goes on.
The bigger picture is
That "Couriers Please"appear to be eliminating Australia Post from their supply chain and going with Victoria Freight Service for their regional deliveries - that's because of "problems" like the local LPO cause them and cost them.
So that is container loads of gear - every day into the courier system, and out of Australia Post's delivery system.
I have found a good wiring supplier close by who does the same wire at the same price as the Fuck Knuckle Wiring Co., and I get next day delivery - but the local LPO's don't get the business - nor do the rest of the people in Australia Post supply chain - per parcel, every parcel.
And as far as the local LPO - with their stunts like carding all the people, instead of delivering large packages to the recipients address - like they are supposed too...
And then giving you the run around when you ask for the "too large for the back pack" parcel to actually be delivered....
Well that fucking crap has back fired on them too - there seems to be more and more and more door to door deliveries being made by couriers, and less and less people going to the post office....
Once upon a time I was occassionally waiting out the front for them to open at 9am...
And now, I can't recall ever seeing anyone out the front at 8.59am... for a long time...
As one of their former employees I saw screaming at them over the counter, seemingly about missing deliveries said, "Are you people messing with my head?"
So that is the story of one single solitary LPO, and all the fucking shit they create, and all the business they help to lose, not only for themselves, but for so many other people in Australia Post.....
