when working at hn, and before apple changed its policy to really fuck consumers sideways up the arse, customers would bring their ipods to the store for us to send off to aus post.

we'd take it down with the printed form they'd supply, and would send it off.

given apples high failure rate with all ipod devices at the time, we were sending 20, 30 of these fucking things a week.

and we'd be lucky to see one third of them come back to us at the store.


we'd try to track them, but aus post would give you the old run around saying they cant find it, blah blah blah...


and thats only thru work. personally i've found exactly the same.


so yes, aus post are theiving cunts - no matter how you package it, send it, pay for it, whatever.

if you want to send it somewhere, pay to courier it with full insurance. the companies i have dealt with in the past 5 years (up until working for the ambos), despite their disclaimers on the back of their con notes, are pretty fucking good when it comes to replacing missing/damaged stock. it may take a month, but its far quicker than the process aus post puts in place:

step 1: scratch arse.
step 2: sniff finger.
step 3: scratch head.
step 4: if not found, too bad. we cant find it. if found, take home for the kids.



i'll say it again. aus post = thieving cunts.
