Glad there are now other services to use

Australia Post, increasing letter prices by over 100% for the same level of service just isn't going to cut it. And you should take the "powering online business" slogan off the side of your parcel delivery trucks, because you are killing online business with your over inflated parcel prices.

And as for your service... how is possible to receive a parcel sent from the UK to Melbourne quicker than from Sydney to Melbourne? Consistently?

Since Australia Post has upped its prices and downed its service delivery times, I have decided to go elsewh ere for my mail services.

For parcels, I use Officeworks. I have found them to be easy to use (once you know the different pricing levels), delivery is quicker than Australia Post and they are cheaper for everything but small parcels. I also like that Officeworks is open 7 days a week and late hours, unlike Australia Post (what business still closes at midday on a Saturday, really?)

I've switched all of my business communication (banks etc) to electronic.
I don't send letters, I email.

On a side note, I often buy things from Amazon and have noticed that my packages have started arriving by courier rather than Australia Post, so they must be changing provider as well.

AUSTRAILA POST - THE WORLD'S SLOWEST AND MOST INCOMPETENT POSTAL DELIVERY SERVICE!

Posted a birthday card with $100 cash in it at the Salt Village NSW Post Box on 21st January and to date it has still not been delivered to a Street address in Torquay Victoria. So, obviously someone has the key to the Postal Box to clear it out of hours and steal the mail or someone in Australia Post has stolen the money. My fault, I should never send cash through the mail and I should just placed the birthday card in an ordinary envelope as immediately bells ring when it is obvious the letter is a birthday card. Posted another birthday card to the same address with $50 in it on 25th January and it arrived today - 5th February - great service AP!

Next day delivery guarantee means nothing with AP as they regularly fail the next day delivery service with Express delivery items within the designated postcode areas. Just had one delivered today and it took 3 days so I have to ring AP and make a claim and they give you another free satchel for the same value. Big deal as I have to spend about 50 minutes on the phone to complain and get another free satchel sent out. The satchel was insured for $2,100 which cost me an additional $31.50 - this is not the first time the next day delivery service has failed me!

The incompetence of AP has just cost Australian Business' billions of dollars with their 40% postal charge increase and snail mail delivery times.

The big problem with AP is they have the highest paid public servant in Australia and they have NO COMPETION because they have a monopoly on mail delivery in this country.

So, if you can use some other method to send money or cards through the mail then bypass AP. The only reason we send the cash through the mail to our grandchildren is because it is always nice to get cash so you can spend it straight away!

About time we get rid of the CEO and all the other highly paid public servants and put the funds into improving delivery times.

I am typing this complaint whilst waiting on the line (13.13.18) for a person to speak to me from AP instead of "Sorry but all out staff are busy talking to other customers" - I am really surprised that AP has any customers at all!

Been waiting now for 50 minutes (it's 4.45pm 5th Feb) on the phone and time to go as I have finished my review...... maybe they closed early! Figures, doesn't it!
This would be the worst run/managed postal service on the planet earth!!!!
Come on Malcolm, you have to get rid of these lazy lot of b********

Snail Mail

Our postal letter service has gone from average to terrible, what is going on with Australia Post when you receive parcels quicker from overseas. eg. A letter was posted last Monday morning from Mirani to Mackay and didn't arrive till the Friday. Now waiting on a letter posted from Brisbane to Mackay that still hasn't arrived after 5 days. More people will start to use couriers which will eventually no doubt lead to Australia Post being no longer viable.

1 Driver has lost 2 items

For 2 different online orders, I have chased down the evidence that the parcels were delivered to find that both times, the Australia Post driver had falsified my signature and claimed that the parcels were properly delivered.

I have tried to contact Australia Post with details of my complaint, but I'm yet to hear any manner of resolution or explanation for what happened.

Utterly abysmal and incompetent

Australia Post keeps hiking prices up, while service gets worse and worse. You only have to read the reviews on this site to see that most of their customers are thoroughly dissatisfied. Not they've lost a parcel coming from one side of Sydney to the other, falsely claiming it has been delivered. $100 down the drain thanks to Australia Post incompetence. The sooner they're privatised the better. There's no accountability and the lack of action on complaints is a disgrace.

Terrible, unprofessional business services.

Have been trying to get in touch with account management for their business arm now for 3 months now, maybe 30 calls now and the unaddressed mail helps centre just tell me to go away. I want to give then $100,000 of business per year and they treat me like crap! My company is losing business every day. Imagine how much Australian post hates a consumer if this is happening to a premium business customer.

No Morals

Been on and off the phone to AP and Ombudsman for two weeks straight about a 12kg $800 package with tracking and signature, they simply do not give a toss about the customer. Do not mail often, only when selling on eBay which is not that often. And because I wasn't offered a service I did not know about ( EXTRA insurance) i am down $800. If i'd KNOWN about it i would have happily paid the extra $10.

My package is still sitting at the mailing facility at Underwood Queensland if you look at tracking that works oh so well. What has actually happened is that the buyer has got the package WITHOUT signature, and is currently asking for a refund on ebay PLUS is currently selling it all on his own ebay store for three times the price.

Meanwhile i have been told that i can have a $50 refund to cover postage.. THANK YOU Australia Post, you are a CLASS act and your customer service is just brilliant!!

Etc., etc., etc...
