Umm Ahh'd for Hours - made a profit of 1.4 million... in 6 months.
We have seven distinct problems here - intractable ones at that.
1. Umm Ahh'd for Hours, is incompetent, greedy and a bullshit artist.
2. Australia Post is a TOXIC organisation.
3. No one uses mail any more.
4. Their infrastructure (mostly fixed costs) and market share of the parcel market is rapidly declining - meaning that they have lost out to the competition, and the competition is beating them in every way.
5. Any fool ideas that Umm Ahh'd for Hours espouses, is just pissing into the wind, wasting everyone's time while he makes a fat pay check.
6. And adding more grand plans to make Australia Post profitable by taking over all these other "government services" like licenses, pensions, medicare, blah, blah, blah..... when your totally fucking up everything to do with what you already have - without fixing THAT first - means not only are you a bullshit artist, but your a fucking dumb bullshit artist.
7. And not only are LARGE amounts of customers now EX customers or heading that way, they are pissed of and nasty and fed up customers and ex customers....
They are fed up with the bullshit and they are NOT coming back...
So Umm Ahh'd for Hours is an idiot.

Australia Post first half 2016 profit before tax of $1.4 million

- All customer and community service indicators on-target and all CSO targets met or exceeded
- HY2016 group profit after tax $16 million, down 84 per cent on this time last year
- Addressed letter volumes continue to decline, down 9.5 per cent, within forecast range of 8 – 11 per cent
- Parcels business performing well with domestic volume growth but market pressure from global competitors rising. **
The half year result was driven by the accelerated decline in letter volumes across the fixed-cost network. However it is expected changes to the letters service, implemented in January 2016, will reduce the growing losses in the mail business.
Managing Director and Group CEO Ahmed Fahour said the half year result highlighted why reform to the letters service was absolutely necessary to ensure future sustainability of the business.
"We have made a number of difficult decisions recently to help put Australia Post on the right path to take advantage of future growth in eCommerce," Mr Fahour said.
Bullshit - bullshit - bullshit.....
** No this means that have lost a significant amount of market share as customers get fed up and fuck you off for high parcel prices, woefully shit customer services and a total lack of accountability.
And the competition are doing it way better for way less, meaning YOUR losing what market share you had, and the competition is eating you alive.
As an organisation - when all the parts rely upon all the other parts, and they are all failing or have failed - it's like a sailing ship with rotten ropes, torn sails, mouldy masts and worm eaten wood - none of the parts that make it run, can run, nor can they work together to get it going and keep it going - and market wise, Australia Post is in a big storm.
The only place it's going, is to the bottom - at best it may drag on in piece meal fashion for a while... Kind of like the mighty meat works ending up as rag tag team of corner store hot dog vendors on the foot path...
But in the end......
So Umm Ahh'd for Hours - can spin all the crap he wants.....
He is incompetent, the organisation is toxic, the customers are leaving - and Australia Post is headed out of business.
