Malicious Obedience
I mean this is kind of pointless - but I like the idea, because spite can be a very enjoyable act.
You know how you post a letter or small package - and it was all certified as correct when you posted it - weight, dimensions, volume and price...
And then 3 weeks later, at the receivers end, someone in Australia Post, has declared that you under paid the postage by 10c, and so they filled out a post card, sized card, sent it all the way, back through the network to your address.
And the message on the card says to spend 20 minutes of your own time and expense, taking yourself and this card, to the local post office, and pay the 10c shortfall in postage, with an additional $2.30 administrative fee.....
Now mindful of how many people have had thousands of dollars worth of their shit stolen by Australia Post, and enormous amounts of time and money spent picking up stuff that was supposed to have been delivered, and all the calls to Australia Post that have had you on hold for days and weeks- and the incredible losses they have caused you, your business and the losses in countless thousands of customers......
Well you can put all that spite to one side and use up those 25 cartons of 500 DL envelopes gathering dust, by posting lots of friendly fun filled letters to the people in Australia Post...
You can send them Rupert Murdoch's press clippings, magazine clippings and bags of lawn clippings.
Samples of beach sand, river sand, prize specimens from your dead blowfly collection on the window sill, bottle caps, ring pulls, favourite bits of driveway gravel - the list of enthralling conversation starters is endless.
Thrilling tales of woe in formula letters - is a challenge; because they wil take a month to say and do nothing....So you could send an individual complaint per week, every week and if they get the department to respond, return that with a covering letter, back to the individual involved, with a covering letter, saying "Since I wrote to you personally, I expect a personal reply from you".
I am actually surprised that there are not enormous amounts of people with boxes or cartons of never to be used envelopes sitting around, that are not engaging in creative writing.....
So get your little laser printers out - re-enact the glory days of sending letters to your friends of the paper ultra-slow snail mail, and send a letter a week to everyone on the list
And go churn out a few thousand reply paid envelopes....
