Absolutely the worst. Rude rude rude!

I just paid $23.00 to send a a C5 sized envelope that weighed 100g to th US via the slowest shipping. $23 for something slightly bigger than a bloody letter! Australia post, I hope you and your greedy antics go bankrupt. I would much rather pay more for DHL than send stuff through AusPost, because it at least gets there. Oh, and their post men! Packages thrown at doors (caught on camera), not even bothering knocking at the door (I work from home, so I'm home EVERYDAY from 8am-5pm, yet how did I get carded for packages?) and broken items.
I feel like every 2nd or 3rd package gets massively delayed

I feel like every 2nd or 3rd package gets massively delayed and here I am again.
Tracking number X6R0016738.
Picked up on 17th from Rydalmere and still not with me in St Peters.
I could crawl on my hands and feet and get here faster.
It's literally a 45 minute drive.
WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Missing parcel
1 out of 5, reviewed on Nov 24, 2016
I had a missing parcel and filed the case with them two weeks ago. I did not receive any follow up report from Aus post. Hence I decide to call up their customer services. The only answer I get is that they said a manager spoke with the driver and the driver confirmed he/she sent the parcel in the correct address and put that in a letter box. Customer services said they also checked the location machine and showed that the signal was sent from that location. Then customer services said they have already done the job to deliver to the address an d nothing she could do about it. But the thing is I live in an apartment, there are so many units in the letterbox. How could the manager confirm the driver put it in the correct mailbox? So, does Aus Post mean that their responsibility is to send the mail in the correct address's front door, do not care about the correct mailbox?
Worst service ever! Shame I have to give 1 star.

Today 24th November, opened front door & card is left on the ground saying to collect from local post office. This item is urgent (medical) & we are home 24/7, as we care for our 90 year old father (disabled). I rang to vent my anger (& I did), was told textbook reply, i.e., any dogs?, access available etc. I became even more frustrated and said 'are you not listening'. Furthermore when I quoted the item/barcode reference number, it did not appear on Australia Post's records. This dilatory individual took the time to WALK THROUGH THE GATES & LEAVE A CARD AT THE DOOR, without ringing doorbell or knocking. I have insisted this parcel be redelivered, response was probably cannot do. Is Australia Post paying these people to deliver parcels, or are they paying them!!
No attempted delivery

I ordered a parcel from an online Australian company and was advised delivery to my home would be: Delivery Time: By Friday 18 Nov. between 9am to 5pm
Carrier: Australia Post Express
Tracking No: 8VU5725749
At 6:46am Friday 18 I received a confirmation email from Australia Post
“Good news, your shipment is due for delivery today”
I stayed home all day, with the front door open.
At 3:30pm I checking the tracking details which confirmed delivery today.
At 5:02pm (after closing time) Aust Post sent an email and sms advising me to collect the item from the local PO with an extended Tracking number: 8VU572574901000960206
I checked the tracking details only to find recorded an "attempted delivery at 4:09pm" then taken to the PO at 4:36 pm.
There was NO ATTEMPTED DELIVERY. I was home all day waiting, I live in a quiet dead end street, no delivery van came past at 4:09pm.
This NO attempted delivery is a recurring problem with Aust Post.
I would like to know what is the policy of Aust Post when their delivery person gets near the end of the day with a stack of parcels still to deliver? It appears they are just able to write them all off as “attempted delivery” and drop them at the PO.
I was so furious with the blatant lie I informed the company on Monday they could keep their goods so they contacted Aust Post and arranged a return to sender. This is now coming up in the tracking details as: 10:56am Wed 23 Nov Returning to sender - receiver not known at address - another lie.
No Fragile Review

I buy a lot from Ebay and getting things delivered can be a bit of a worry.
Many times they leave the card and i have to collect which is annoying even though i was at home at the time.
A few times i have heard a thud at the door(cringe my parcel) yet no door buzzer, which brings me to my point.
They have no fragile service, i have been told by employees when posting parcels with a fragile sticker on the box.
They have no common sense too!
More training is needed.
Terrible service getting worse

I am used to having to pick up "sorry we missed you [but didn't really try either]" items from the post office. Sometimes I am not even luckly enough to get a "missed you" card. I don't place all of the blame on Australia Post, it must be difficult to keep control over the contractors. However contractors can not be blamed for my latest experience.
I had a small item shipped from Singleton to a Sydney address on the 5th of November. It still has not arrived 18 days later. I could have walked to Singleton and back in that time. A mule could h ave delivered the parcel faster then that. I will demonstrate:
The tracking shows that it took:
4 days from Singleton to Mayfield West (75km)
4 days from Mayfield West to Chullora (160km)
10 days from Chullora to Granville (10km)
And is still on its way!
Lets assume a mule took the same route which is not the most direct path (245km). A mule walks about 6kph. They can, as far as I understand, easily walk for 10 hours per day carrying a load. Based on those numbers the mule would have delivered the parcel in 4.1 days. If the mule only worked on weekdays then my parcel would have arrived on the 11th of November. 12 days ago!
The delay is annoying but what really gets to me is when I lodge an enquiry which I have done twice. I simply get no reply. I would much rather a "Yeah... look we don't know what is going on" then being ignored.
disgusted!!

I won't buy from companies any more, who use Australia post for deliveries as I am an 80 year old disabled person who is unable to drive and cannot carry heavy parcels from post office. My parcel is still at the post office after delivery van left a card in my post box.!!
Appalling customer service at Muswellbrook branch
1 out of 5, reviewed on Nov 23, 2016
Muswellbrook post office real need to sack half of its workers it’s like walking in to the devils den served by grump middle aged Women that don't even know how to say hello let alone please or thank you and then there's the times when you go in there and they are ether too busy talking to each other about unrelated work topics or spending ten minutes talking to someone they know over the counter while there is a long line up of customers, just getting annoyed with the poor service. Come on Auspost sack these staff members with bad customer skills and get some people that will look after customers.
Pathetic disgusting service!!!!

I used Australia post to send a very urgent important document to Sri lanka through express post and paid $38 odd dollars and it never delivered. Never use Aus Post for express deliveries use dhl instead if it is important/urgent. Those idiots are taking 30 days to investigate. Hopeless!!!!!
DELIVERED CARD BUT NO KNOCK ON THE DOOR!
1 out of 5, reviewed on Nov 23, 2016
Why would the driver take the time to fill out a "no one at home" card, put it in my letter box but not bother to take the 15 steps to knock on my front door? I actually heard the van pull up, and was waiting for the knock when I heard the van pull away, I ran outside to see the van driving down the road! Why?? I assume he couldn't be bothered looking for my parcel in the back. I rang Aussie Post but apparently they can't contact the driver to return despite me ringing within 10 minutes. Had to pick up from my local Post Office the next day.
