I would love to send a care parcel to someone Overseas if it didn't cost more than the items inside ... Too expensive ... I sent a magazine to Austria and it cost me almost $30 - insane ..

I sent a set of keys international to be delivered in 6 working days. It cost me almost $35, we are now on working day 8 and they still haven't left the post office I handed them in to according to tracking

Hey I sent a $15.00 dollars teddy bear and cost me over $100.00 on 21/12/16 and still never got deliver 😉

Four Options:

1. Try shopping online, in a foreign country, and get the "Care Package" bought and delivered locally - thus cutting Australia Post out of the loop entirely.

2. Don't use Australia Post. Use other international Delivery Services.

3. Use bank deposit services, to transfer the money into their account, and let them go buy their own "gifts" locally, where ever they are...

4. Don't send them a gift card through the mail, in lieu of a gift, or the thieves in Australia Post will steal it.

Hint:

While people tend to appreciate gift packs, they tend to appreciate that your not stupid enough to go spend $300 on postage, for $50 worth of stuff, that they could have bought from the corner store at 1/2 the price, where they live, because it was probably imported into Australia in the first place.

No one likes "clueless or dumb, but well meaning friends" who pissing away huge amounts of money away on postage, when they didn't have too.

Fuck the Australia Post National Crawl Center

Awwww Australia Post.... Terrific.  People are so impressed with the service given by so many people in Australia Post.... The universal "Attempted Delivery" card being placed in the mail box, when the driver not only didn't bring the parcel, they never even came and knocked on the door.... Outrageous prices........ Parcels and letters going missing..... Registered mail never arriving, or getting signed for by the contractor and disappearing.... The tracking system that doesn't..... Mail taking 3 weeks to be sent from one suburb to the next......  What could be politely described as the "Go fuck yourself" policies and customer service when things are damaged or stolen.....  Packages "that could not be delivered", that end up in some Post Office,  far away, and the staff there,don't give a shit, can't find it and stuff goes missing and the customers get the run around etc... And REALLY BAD customer service..... The National Call Centre's...

Post Offices + PO Boxes = Pffft.

We do not have a street delivery where we are. The local PO has told us that anything not addressed to our PO Box will no longer be put into our box but will be kept inside behind the counter as per Australia Post advice.  When I rang Australia Post to query this they said it is  NOT the case in an area where there is no street delivery (which is what we were told when we first got a PO Box) and it is the local PO who have made this decision, not Austpost. We took the PO Box in the first place so we could actually get our mail because we couldn't get to the shop when it was open! This new policy will affect a number of customers.
