Unhelpful and rude customer service, non-existent delivery

I received a slip notifying me of a parcel when I was home ALL DAY. The slip had no information other than collect after 1pm. Despite having waited at home for the parcel and the driver not actually attempting to deliver it, I went to the post office. The parcel wasn't there. I rang customer service and they told me they could do nothing, couldn't re-organise delivery, they couldn't track the driver, the list goes on.

I wasted HOURS waiting for this parcel and the customer service couldn't care less. I've asked for it to be re-delivered and left on my door step tomorrow. I'll keep the forum posted as to the outcome. Once before it was let on the road with the same company.... fingers crossed for tomorrow

lazy and negligent delivery failure - parcel damaged

The parcel, containing a book, was too large to go in my letterbox at the front of the property. It was clearly visible that all the Star Trak deliverer had to do was walk down 6 steps and a short garden path, no obstructions, and leave the parcel under cover on the front verandah.

What he did was leave it precariously propped on a post on the footpath, where it could have been taken by any passerby, and where it was then watered by a watering system. The expensive book was water damaged.

This is the worst, but not the first time Star Track have failed. I have had numerous times when I had to make long difficult journeys to the Post Office after the Star Trak drivers left cards in the letterbox, when i was home, because they were too lazy to walk down a path to do a job they were paid for.

Lazy drivers - worse service of all courier companys

Delivery was supposed to be to a PO Box at my local Post Office. Somehow, driver couldn't be bothered and delivered to a PO in another suburb. I can not get to this location and Star Trak refuse to deliver to correct location.

Fuck the Australia Post National Crawl Center

Awwww Australia Post.... Terrific.  People are so impressed with the service given by so many people in Australia Post.... The universal "Attempted Delivery" card being placed in the mail box, when the driver not only didn't bring the parcel, they never even came and knocked on the door.... Outrageous prices........ Parcels and letters going missing..... Registered mail never arriving, or getting signed for by the contractor and disappearing.... The tracking system that doesn't..... Mail taking 3 weeks to be sent from one suburb to the next......  What could be politely described as the "Go fuck yourself" policies and customer service when things are damaged or stolen.....  Packages "that could not be delivered", that end up in some Post Office,  far away, and the staff there,don't give a shit, can't find it and stuff goes missing and the customers get the run around etc... And REALLY BAD customer service..... The National Call Centre's...

Post Offices + PO Boxes = Pffft.

We do not have a street delivery where we are. The local PO has told us that anything not addressed to our PO Box will no longer be put into our box but will be kept inside behind the counter as per Australia Post advice.  When I rang Australia Post to query this they said it is  NOT the case in an area where there is no street delivery (which is what we were told when we first got a PO Box) and it is the local PO who have made this decision, not Austpost. We took the PO Box in the first place so we could actually get our mail because we couldn't get to the shop when it was open! This new policy will affect a number of customers.
