Peter Frith posted to Australia Post 2 hours ago I would like to say one positive for Australia post. Yes thats rare! My local post contractor is a fantastic person . He dose his best to give great customer service. Although Australia Post wont pay him to deliver to me he does this out of his own pocket. I asked him the other day if he will be getting any help With the christmas rush . He told me That he can't afford to do it as Australia post wont pay him any extra for the extra deliverys expected this year. I feel that AP is ripping him off . Their business is booming with online sales That has increased greatly but they still only pay their contractors the set price for the whole period. No wonder Customer service is going down hill.

But what of the ongoing cost of voodoo economics? Voodoo economics - aka Reaganomics, Friedmanism, Thatcherism or, endearingly in NZ, Rogernomics - dispatched into the wild those services that had long been protected as civilisation's core, including aviation, banking and post. So it is hardly surprising that, although the sharp-toothed among ...

The United States Post Office was organised in 1789. It went $40 in the hole that year, thereby establishing one of the most venerable of American traditions. WILLIAM C. WOOLDRIDGE Nowhere is there a better example of the evils of a coercive monopoly than our postal system — Australia Post and Telecom. The service is abysmal, the price exorbitant and competition is forcibly prevented. The Australian postal service, begun in 1809, and telecommunications service, begun in 1854, have grown to enormous proportions. Figures quoted in the Vernon Report of 1974 showed that by 30 June 1973 the total workforce of both services was 130,...

Mail Maffia - "You gotta problem? We fix you mail box for you."

This happens a fair bit.... Some of the posties who get complained about - come back and throw shit on peoples doors, dump their letters all over the ground or smash up the peoples letter boxes. Charlie Cornwell posted to Australia Post 8 hours ago near Melbourne here is a warning people!! Lodge a complaint with Australia post and your letterbox gets smashed into pieces! - complaint re missing mail, things being opened on arrival, getting 3 houses mail in my letter box because the postie assumes we will sort it to the right house!! - Don't complain - only costed me a $200 letter box and now the cost of a post box because I cant trust my postie!   Like · Charlie Cornwell Yep we need another postal service so AP can actually need to be decent! 8 hours ago · Like Diane-Marie Campbell Ditto. I complained about Dernancourt - rude, inefficient - so they ignored a forwarding order and returned things to senders. With no records kept. 8 hours ago · Like Michelle Tickner ...

Like sewerage running down a pipe...

Australia Post effects the lives of everyone it contaminates.. The idiots managing this company jack up the price of the christmas cards. Huge swathes of people say "Fuck you", and walk off - never to be ripped off and gouged again. Less people go to the post offices and if they do, it will be with resentment. That sinks the shops... or helps too. They will be less inclined to buy any cards - which helps to sink the shops, and the card industry. And it drives people into using alternative tech - and other service providers.. And the idiots like Fahour and co talk out their arses... While I don't that he is a complete fool - the issues of squillions of seriously fucked off customers and what he and his crones have done, have set Australia Post into becoming one of the worst performing companies and the customers genuinely have built up a HUGE resistance to using Australia Post for ANYTHING - or a ONLY if they have no other choice option. It's in the annual report........

Ride the Aussie Post Merry-Go-Round - and call back later, and call back later, and

This is probably one of the major reasons, amongst all the others, why I have just gotten fed up with the never ending bullshit from Aussie Post and fucked them off completely..... And the bullshit just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on..... Corey Mitchell posted to Australia Post 15 minutes ago So pissed at Australia Post. I posted a parcel (one large 7 to 8 kg Australia Post parcel box) last Friday and was guaranteed delivery by Tuesday or Wednesday at the very latest.  The parcel was going from Kingston QLD to Liverpool NSW. When it did not arrive I contact Australia Post on 131318 on Wednesday afternoon and spoke to a woman who claims to have tried to ring the Leightonfield Delivery Ce ntre which they did not answer.  I was told that it had been scanned as part of a consignment and it was being held at the Leightonfield DC. As there was nothing she could do (more to the point did not want to do) she advised to call back Thursday morning.  I ...

Michael Finn posted to Australia Post 5 hours ago near Gold Coast Its that time of the year again, registered mail is getting sliced open with razor blades and contents removed, realy is a well paid job. Tracy Gambin posted to Australia Post about an hour ago via mobile So irritated with Australia Post right now, how is it that things that are worth money, parcels, show tickets ect, go missing, and not get delivered, yet my bills always manage to arrive with no problems and on time    John Williams posted to Australia Post about an hour ago It is hardly surprising Aust Post is losing money. Their parcel service is unreliable and a package sent from Melbourne for delivery in Sydney city takes over 6 days and is still not delivered. The tracking system says it has been sitting at Kingsgrove since Tuesday at 4.45 am. I guess the last 10 Klm's are the toughest. Staff at 131318 are friendly and appear to want to help but when they try and contact the distribution ...

Hi-Ho Hi-Ho - Christmas Cards by email we go......

Image
The price jump of $1.60 to $2.55 - to send a christmas card by the moron  management of Australia Post was resulted in a wholesale revolt against sending any more christmas cards to anyone overseas, and it's resulted in an even larger revolt against Australia Post..... There are so many people posting on the Aussie Post Facebook page - saying in a very concise way, "Fuck you - shove your christmas cards up your arse." They are using E-cards, email, Skype, phone calls, etc.,  and so many people are saying "Australia Post + christmas cards = Off the List FOREVER." There have been hundreds of people up in arms about this... I think the ratio is that for every one person who pipes up on Facebook about this, there are about 50,000 people in the real world who are saying the same thing. The Aussie PR stooges spew the usual bullshit - that no one believes... But one person took them to task over this.... The point was that airfares are cheaper now, than they were 25 ye...
