The Oxford University Press English Dictionary.

Image
Why did I want this dictionary in the first place? This is a good question. The first reason: My vocabulary is rather extensive, and I am so sick of the ONLINE spelling programs, telling me that the words I use, are WRONG, because their range of words might be say 3,000 words, but my range might go to 10,000 words - and simply because the words I use are not in their list, they have to be wrong..... It drives me nuts and it seriously fucks with my head. And it comes from lazy manager and lazy programmers who produce this grubby shit-ware (I invented that word too) and the stupids in the companies who tack this ubiquitious garbage onto their systems. "Adaptive programming? A new word? Look it up? Cross Reference? Incorporate? Noooooooo we are too stupid and lazy to do things like that. Just mark it wrong." So after many years of fighting with fuckwits and their crap software, it's done my head in and I can't think straight about spelling correctly any more. This is the...

I'd make a lousy postie......

Image
True - You know sure some times the posties stuffing big articles into letter boxes IS totally inappropriate - like a card ought to be left etc... or to stick it beside the front door.... But you get these whining people with some kind of an entitlement mentality, that get A4 sized flat documents sent to them - for all the genius's with the univeristy degrees etc., but they have a DL sized letter box, with a DL sized slot in the front, and enough floor space for a DL sized envelope to lay flat - and that is about it. Genius with Genius Grade Letter Box.  "I asked them to post me a phone book and it was jammed in there so tight....  Ohhh Booo Hooooo... I chipped a nail pulling it out"   And then they whine about the envelope being FOLDED and stuffed into their letter box.... good and hard...... "My god - you have rooned my pictures!" they wail..... And I think,  "When are you going to come up to speed with the 22nd century" See smart people get the BIG...

Australia Post is a Career Criminals Dream Job

Image
It really is... Cherie Hogan Fisher posted to ‎ Australia Post Thanks for stealing and cashing my sons gift voucher Aust Post and saying sorry nothing we can do about it.  Oh and I hope the "scratchies" that were posted and missing on the same day won nothing. You obviously have a staff member stealing and know who it is (i do know about the cameras you have at the mailing centres) but wont take responsibility for my loss.  The $100 I spend per year on xmas cards is now forever forfeited... I will move with the times and send ecards. They can only get stolen in cyber space.  And I hope the skum in Rockhampton who cashed the gift vouchers gets hit by the karma bus. Chris Leedham I've had a lot of mail go missing some worth a lot of money I suspect my postie is stealing my mail you seem to have the same prob does not look good aus post Cherie Hogan Fisher posted from Gladstone and cashed in Rockhampton 2 days later. Didnt even make it to their destination o...

Dump the Dummies

I am going to keep this really short. If you want to keep the really shitty consequences of having Australia Post in your supply chain - then ONLY deal with suppliers who OFFER delivery by courier - first and foremost..... But if the company or business that your dealing with does not as yet offer shipping by courier, then ask them. Give them a brief explaination of the problems, that having Australia Post handling your packages has caused you, and ask them to ship your order by courier, and to incorporate this as an option for people to choose from, on their website. Tell them that every time you get a delivery from them via Australia Post - where they lose / steal / card you when you were there / the express deliveries are slower than regular mail and that takes 2 or 3 weeks, when it should be taking 4 days / tell them that the trips to the post office cost you $50 a trip, when it should be coming to your front door, and their tracking shows the parcel as being delivered when it'...

Ahmed Fahour uses a FAKE Bounce on his emails

Why is this message in Spam? It seems to be a fake "bounce" reply to a message that you didn't actually send. A message could not be delivered to: ahmed.fahour@auspost.com.au Subject: Fwd: Your staff really screwed up my delivery.

Amazon, I-Parcel and then Australia Post - The Circle Jerk of Success

Image
This is a combination of corporate stupidity and I dunno..... All I can say is I would not willingly hire Australia Post, ever again, for any reason - and this is long before this issue came to the fore. A fast recap - just off the top of my head. The local Licensed Post Office operator likes to do things like make up stories and wave his fists in my face... The 5th time around in a decade or so...  Followed by 6 months of trying to get like 32 aerograms in, so I could catch up with a whole heap of fairly mobile and transient people overseas - prior to investing in sending them packages - but ... twas another epic failure in salesmanship. Summed up with - "You have got issues... see you later." But I was still getting goods and parcels delivered to me via Australia Post. What arose as a result of this, is in amongst the corporate infighting that came with getting all my stuff delivered to another post office, the local guy started to do home deliveries on my signature on deli...
