Throw my mail over the fence again and I will break your legs.

I wonder if Ahmed Fahour was thrown over the fence, if the dog would eat him too?

Fahour's Rejig Needs Licensees Attention

http://lpogroup.com.au/content/fahours-rejig-needs-licensees-attention Submitted by LPOGroup on Fri, 27/09/2013 - 1:03am   According to The Australian, Sept 25, page 19 (Business sector) Australia Post has managed to raise the return on equity to 18.7% in the 2012 financial year from 14.1% in 2009, the year Ahmed took over. Over the past 2 years the operating losses on the regulated businesses has fallen from $123m to $148m, while profit on the non-regulated business have increased from $451m to $545.6m. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/opinion/ahmed-fahours-organisaitonal-rejig-puts-coalition-in-a-box So it begs the question, why are LPOs struggling to remain commercially viable? A conservative estimate puts LPOs underpaid by $75m+ every year.  That is an average of $25,000 per LPO. Little wonder that Ahmed can post his profit when he is able to underpay thousands of Licensees, because the previous Minister refused t...

Fahour is paid more than 10 times what his US counterpart is paid.

http://www.crikey.com.au/2013/10/23/is-auspost-boss-4-8-million-salary-pushing-the-envelope/?wpmp_switcher=mobile Wednesday, 23 October 2013 Is AusPost boss’ $4.8 million salary pushing the envelope? by Adam Schwab Players There have been some very high executive payouts in recent years — boardrooms seemed content to plunder shareholder coffers to pay multimillion-dollar stipends to the likes of Wal King, Richard Leupen, Allan Moss, Phil Green and Geoff Dixon. But those esteemed group of executives were at least employed by shareholder-owned companies; the same can’t be said for the head of Australia Post, Ahmed Fahour. In its annual report (buried late on Friday to generate the least possible public attention), AusPost announced a steady 14% rise in revenue to $5.8 billion. However, if AusPost were a publicly listed company, shareholders wouldn’t be impressed by its performance. Sophisticated investors look largely to a company’s return on equity to assess perform...

Walmart treats workers like shit - loses market share.

Watch the movie and then read the article. WAL-MART: THE HIGH COST OF LOW PRICE is a feature length documentary that uncovers a retail giant's assault on families and American values. Then have a think about this: http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2013/04/17/walmart-pays-workers-poorly-and-sinks-while-costco-pays-workers-well-and-sails-proof-that-you-get-what-you-pay-for/ Walmart Pays Workers Poorly And Sinks While Costco Pays Workers Well And Sails-Proof That You Get What You Pay For Costco’s most recent quarterly earnings report  reveals a fairly healthy eight percent rate of growth in year-on-year sales—including a five percent rise in same store sales. What’s more, with membership fees rising from $459 million in the same quarter last year to $528 million this year, it’s pretty clear that a significant number of customers are moving over to the retailer to do their discount shopping. Meanwhile, Costco’s primary competitor, Walmart, saw an anemic 1.2 percent rise i...

The customers come out fighting.

It's like if this is the last day of the foul year of their lord 2013, and these are the last posts on the Australia Post Facebook page for the year.... But anyway, Fair Trading, VCAT, etc., etc., etc.. are all getting a mention, as well as the refusal to just lie down and take it in the arse. They are coming up fighting. Andy Firth posted to Australia Post 8 hours ago Nicki, It's not replies we want. It's OUR MAIL and PACKAGES that we paid good money and entrusted AP with to deliver! We don't blame you guys, you're trying to do your jobs and cover for a bunch of hopeless bosses and administrators there. While they all lounge around in the 20 million dollar mansions, we're stuck without Christmas gifts and important correspondences. FRUSTRATED does not come clos e to describing our feelings. We have lost faith in our National postal service and this can only mean that it's time to privatize AP and get on to our MPs ASAP if there's no improvemen...

Former ACCC boss says sell Australia Post

http://www.news.com.au/finance/business/former-accc-boss-says-sell-australia-post/story-e6frfkur-1226754405037 THE federal government should sell Australia Post, a former head of the competition watchdog says.    Graeme Samuel, who chaired the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) from 2003 to 2011, told a business lunch that Australia's postage services don't belong in government hands. "Why it is that we own Australia Post when you've got so many other providers, private providers of carriage of mail and services?" Professor Samuel said. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Naaaaa why get rid of the shit bag management that has it rigged for the consumer to take it up the arse, with $17 to send a pair of sandals from the USA to here, and $87 to send them back. While people are bringing in tons of stuff with free postage from China..... Or they buy a total fuckwit of a tracking system, that basically o...

The Boss Gets it Wrong - He Pays Us Back.

Justin Jordan posted to Australia Post 6 hours ago   Hows this for an idea. Every refund that Australia Post has to give due to poor service, late deliveries ect, the total annual amount should be deducted from the bosses salary and bonus. Bet he would have to take out a loan to reinburse the differance!

Yes the management of Australia Post - lie, bullshit and scheme... but weekly deliveries don't quite cut it

http://www.thecourier.com.au/story/1914311/not-enough-posties-deliveries-neglected/ Not enough posties, deliveries neglected By GAV MCGRATH Nov. 17, 2013, 8:30 p.m. RESIDENTS in some Ballarat suburbs are not receiving their mail for up to four days due to a lack of posties at Australia Post’s Ballarat mail centre in Wendouree, an employee alleges. Wendouree West, parts of Delacombe and the older areas of Alfredton are among the postal rounds being neglected, the Australia Post employee told The Courier, as the government enterprise struggles to cope with redundancies, absences and staff that are increasingly under pressure. The employee agreed to talk with The Courier on condition of anonymity.  Under Australia Post employment conditions, it is a breach of conduct to discuss with the media any issues relating to the organisation. “Routinely, rounds are being left unprocessed due to insufficient staff. Four days is not an exaggera...

A primary example of how incompetent the management of Australia Post ARE.

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/posties-running-gauntlet-of-abuse-over-late-deliveries/story-fnihsrf2-1226748108091 Posties running gauntlet of abuse over late deliveries POSTIES have been the targets of intentional dog attacks, car swipes and had objects thrown at them from angry North Queensland residents whose mail is being delayed.    Townsville posties blame staff cutbacks and poor management for the slow mail deliveries. Last week Australia Post admitted to an employment freeze after several residents across Townsville and Ingham reported mail delays of up to one week. A contract postie, who did not want to be named, told the Townsville Bulletin it wasn't unusual for up to 7000 homes in one area to miss out on mail in one day, because of staff shortages. He said residents were taking their anger out on posties. "I've had stuff thrown at me quite often, I've had a car run over me when it backed out of the driveway, and one guy...

Australia Post - the most trusted brand? Yeah by who's bu$$shit survey?

Image
I have seen surveys of Australia Post, promoted by Australia Post, saying that Australia Post is the most trusted brand in Australia. For instance: Down at the bottom of the page. http://www.smh.com.au/business/marketing/agency-to-set-out-digital-strategy-20110526-1f62x.html Australia Post is one of the most trusted brands in Australia, ranking second in this year's AMR Reptrak brand reputation study of the country's 60 largest companies. The result is an improvement on last year, when Australia Post ranked three places lower. I have seen other surveys ranking it at the 14th most trusted brand... And yet real people who use the service, and have been regularly and all too often burnt badly by it, all too often rank it as the "Not to be trusted at all" brand. On the Australia Post Facebook page - this is just NORMAL feedback, and forget the issue that it's predominantly one person here, who has been burnt badly and is having his moment on the soap box - this is...
