Moving the goal post achieves the goals - According to Australia Post.

The Geelong Advertiser ran a similar mail delivery time test, to a number of other news services, only they got to the point a bit better in their description of the results: http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/news/geelong/geelong-test-shows-australia-post-service-has-deteriorated-since-stamp-price-increase/ Now if a service is hardly used, you get low priority and low cost services... and if you want better you pay more - geddit... So in one sense the move to the dead snail mail version of snail mail - kind of makes sense... except jumping up the prices and lowering the speed are contrary to the issues of expediency and generating more business etc., except that for general mail, most people really don't give too much of a fuck if the mail takes 2 days or 4 days to get there. So in one sense the Geelong advertiser story is "RIGHT" but in others, it's totally wrong / bullshit beat up / play the facts and figures story. "A Geelong Advertiser test has shown the c...

Australia Post Performance in Geometic Substantives and Singularity of Concept.

See if the officially officious refuse to tell you the truth - like here: http://you-shit-me.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/but-australia-post-blocked-those-moves.html Or here: http://you-shit-me.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/more-officially-officious-australia.html This is how to figure it out - with a few less weasele words and bullshit.... How Australia Post is going - in pictures. Once upon a time - Australia Post was awesome. It's business model and mode of operation, was relevant for it's time. It's dynamic approach matched those of the days before motorcars, TV's, refrigeration, Roman legions, aqueducts, the People's Front of Judea and electricity. But then....  The telegraph came in... The phone came in. Petrol Engines came in. Then all the technologies began to merge - and they called it the internet. Added to this are dumb ideas, bad management and officially officious dumb fuck bullshit.... and extremely bad customer service. And competition emerged - playing against ...

More "Officially Officious" Australia Post Cover Ups.

We officially officiate, that officials officially have officially stated, blah, blah, blah, blah...... Yes in real people speak, this means "Go fuck yourself cause your not getting it." http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/australia-post-refuses-to-release-wa-complaints-data-20160218-gmxzuf.html Australia Post has refused to release its customer complaints data for Western Australia as frustrated Perth residents continue to criticise the service and its delivery drivers. The government-owned entity's Facebook page is flooded with hundreds of complaints a day ranging from stolen parcels, damaged goods and drivers not knocking when a person is home waiting for an item. Many, including Perth woman Kelly Bell, also complained of waiting on the phone for hours to lodge an issue. Ms Bell said she had a $300 graduation dress stolen from her Bentley front doorstep in February after a delivery driver left it unattended and in clear view a busy footpath three metres away. Acc...

"But Australia Post blocked those moves"

Mmmmmm super awesome. "Seven News used Right To Information laws to request documents on reliability but Australia Post blocked those moves." Follow the link to watch the vids and pics...  https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/30828160/australia-post-tested-on-promises/ 'Service drops but price goes up': Australia Post tested on promises Mike Duffy February 15, 2016 Australia Post promises to deliver, but there is no guarantee that it will be on time or to the right address. It has blocked 7 News requests for statistics on its reliability after recent big price rises, so, they carried out their own tests. From January, regular post became more expensive and slower, up from 70c to $1 and taking up to six working days. A more expensive priority service was also introduced. Businessman Oscar de Vries, who relies on Australia Post to make deliveries for his razor business, said: "Service levels are dropping, but the price is going up, in our case by 45 perce...

Hot Chips: The internet and Australia Post (1995)

Image
This was produced in 1995 - which was a LONG time ago.... in terms of time, technology and the internet of things. Listen to Harvey Parker - from Telstra especially from about the 1 minute 40  second mark. (just before the boat scene fades out) Email - he said, would become available to everyone within 2 to 3 years Then consider how ineptly Australia Post handled this with it's "business as usual" bullshit - and it's dim witted management. And then look at a 2014 opinion piece on the top 10 failures, of business models, technology, ways and means of doing things, etc., that fell by the wayside. It has some interesting perspectives.

Am I ever going to use Australia Post Again?

Dear Dr Dipshit - the way your running this department, and how much of a shit hole it actually IS - Operating Medicare from the post offices? Starting with something simple - " Doesn't waiting an hour and a half on hold, when calling Australia Post - tell you something ?" Add running Medicare to this utter fucking shit hole of corruption and dishonesty and BAD management?   A new chorus - for the audience to sing along with! Amazon.com now uses Parcel Point.

Amazon adds more than 1000 Australian pickup locations with ParcelPoint Date     December 9, 2015    adam turner http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/computers/gadgets-on-the-go/amazon-adds-more-than-1000-australian-pickup-locations-with-parcelpoint-20151209-glj1om.html In a nut shell. PHOTO Caption. The convenience of online Christmas shopping is spoiled by the unreliability of delivery services. (meaning Australia Post)    Rather than waiting around for unreliable couriers in the lead up to Christmas, you can have your Amazon parcels delivered to a nearby business and pick them up when it suits you. Etc... So look it up. Amazon + Parcel Point.

Owww! Owwww! Owwwww! The customer complaints have got venom.

Four or five of the last reviews..... All on the 5th of Febuary 2016. http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html Lilypie gave them 1 out of 5 stars. Glad there are now other services to use Australia Post, increasing letter prices by over 100% for the same level of service just isn't going to cut it. And you should take the "powering online business" slogan off the side of your parcel delivery trucks, because you are killing online business with your over inflated parcel prices. And as for your service... how is possible to receive a parcel sent from the UK to Melbourne quicker than from Sydney to Melbourne? Consistently? Since Australia Post has upped its prices and downed its service delivery times, I have decided to go elsewh ere for my mail services. For parcels, I use Officeworks. I have found them to be easy to use (once you know the different pricing levels), delivery is quicker than Australia Post and they are cheaper for everything but small parcels. I...

The "Do Not Australia Post Me" registry.

A nd on the seventh day, I created the "Do not Australia Post Me" registry. This means, if your REALLY sick of all the bullshit - in dealing with Australia Post., and you want nothing more to do with them. IF you place your name and address, on this list,  that gets used by Australia Post, well anyone sending you anything by Australia Post - gets their letter or package returned to them, with a "REFUSED DELIVERY" sticker on it, telling the sender to contact you by phone, or to send it to you by email / bank transfer etc, or to send it by private courier. To sign up for this service simply email these three departments, with your name and postal address, and say: "I no longer want to receive anything via Australia Post.  Put me on the "Do not Australia Post me" registry." Minister@communications.gov.au ahmed.f ahour@auspost.c om.au https://www.donotcall.gov.au/ 1300 792 958 Some people might say,"Oh how incredible - this is just what I have...

The Australia Post ZERO TOLERANCE policy.

To. Dealing with anything.

Dear Ummm Ahhhed For Hours.... Can you do me a favour?

Take out a front page advertisement in every news paper in the country, asking people to never send me anything by Australia Post again? Seriously dude - the couriers are doing a fine job of making the deliveries. And if you provide a list of all the phone numbers for the great competition, that Australia Post has, as well, I promise to remove this blog and you can go about your business of scamming the people of Australia with your bullshit, completely unmolested. Here is a head line for you: "This fucking arsehole (include my picture and name) is not allowed to be sent anything by Australia Post ever again." Use these servics instead. Toll. Sendle. Ipec. Fedex. Office Works. And a couple of dozen other couriers as well.... mainly national ones.  Because he is a real cunt, and we refuse to deliver anything to him ever again." (And I won't make mention of the fakt that you were not delivering anything much to me anyway... because if it wasn't being stolen, sent b...

I should be so lucky - that I have couriers and a phone and not Australia Post.

I should be so lucky, Lucky, lucky, lucky.... "I Should Be So Lucky" (Or why I love my couriers) [1a:] In my imagination There is no complication I dream about you all the time In my mind a celebration The sweetest of sensation Thinking you could be mine [1b:] In my imagination There is no hesitation We walk together hand in hand I'm dreaming You fell in love with me Like I'm in love with you But dreaming's all I do If only they'd come true [CHORUS:] I should be so lucky Lucky lucky lucky I should be so lucky in love I should be so lucky Lucky lucky lucky I should be so lucky in love [2a:] Australia Post's a crazy situation You always keep me waiting Because its only make believe And I would go a-running To get away from all I see Hoping one day you go and leave me [2b:] My heart is close to breaking And I can't go on faking The fantasy delivery will be on time I'm dreaming That you're in love with me Like I'm in not in love with you But ...

Letters Nil. Parcels - Market Share Dropping.

Image
Australia Post - I think as a corporation, it's in a position of slow death..... Why? With the government shifting ALL of it's business to digital contact - meaning the government business mail volumes, are going to drop off there... The junk mail industry has to pay way more for the shit it sends, even in volume. In essence, the remaining core of large mail volume senders, are evaporating. https://www.dto.gov.au/ https://www.dto.gov.au/blog/ https://www.dto.gov.au/projects/ Then we get the declining market share in the parcel delivery (e-commerce) section. Australia Post was losing traction in 2014..... While parcel volumes were increasing...   http://www.evolutionpartners.com.au/how-is-australia-post-in-a-growth-market-and-losing-money.html How is Australia Post in a growth market and losing money? Or as my inner grammar nazi says: How is Australia Post losing money in a growth market? This is where I think it is now.... And this is where I think it's headed.... https:/...

Government introduces Digital Mail Box, for dealings with government.

This MIGHT begin to erode the remaining volumes of government type letters sent by Australia Post - an initial uptake followed by increasing penetration. Until those who haven't switched look like Luddites in the basement with their Pentium 486's.... http://www.computerworld.com.au/article/575198/mygov-style-digital-mailbox-business-coming-2016/ myGov-style digital mailbox for business coming in 2016 Turnbull's Digital Transformation Office hoping to have mailbox ready for release next year The Digital Transformation Office is working on a digital mailbox to provide businesses with a single electronic location for government correspondence. The project is due for release in 2016. The DTO outlined the plans in a blog entry posted today. "This will mean all Australian businesses will be able to get their messages from government in one place and then seamlessly complete digital transactions," the DTO said. "This will be a game changer in the way business ...

Harvey Norman + Apple vs. Australia Post

Just abstract search terms and little gems turning up.. Google: "Thieving cunts" "Australia Post"  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://archive.atomicmpc.com.au when working at hn, and before apple changed its policy to really fuck consumers sideways up the arse, customers would bring their ipods to the store for us to send off to aus post. we'd take it down with the printed form they'd supply, and would send it off. given apples high failure rate with all ipod devices at the time, we were sending 20, 30 of these fucking things a week. and we'd be lucky to see one third of them come back to us at the store. we'd try to track them, but aus post would give you the old run around saying they cant find it, blah blah blah... and thats only thru work. personally i've found exactly the same. so yes, aus post are theiving cunts - no matter how you package it, send it, pay for it, whatever. thieving cunts. end of stor...
