Why is the mail running so late in Australia?

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html Megan     1 review     2 helpful votes Hold up in Australia from the UK 2 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 31, 2017 I had an item sent from the uk via royal mail on the 11th January. I always get the same item sent every month and it takes 12 working day never a day after. But it's now 17 days and still not arrived. It's sitting somewhere in the mail centre here. The xmas period is over, why is this taking so long? It seems from reading the reviews on here, that there are issues with mail running late within Australia. Is there a strike on? or issues that customers are not aware of? The sad part is that we don't have a choice. We have to use Australia pos t. Just getting more frustrating. Put more staff on in the sorting centre and maybe things will get to people on time. What's the point of people trusting the time frames that are given, when they don't happen?

They waste your day, for a cardboard slip.

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html Luke Z Pathetic, joke of a company. 1 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 31, 2017 Spent all day waiting for my package to arrive, even had my mother be on the look out. We had checked the letterbox at 12:30pm, and nothing was inside, I checked again at 2pm only to see that I had "missed" my package. How is this possible if i had left the gate open to my front door and yet we didn't hear anyone knocking? Now I'm expected to wait yet another day, all because your courier couldn't walk 5 feet to my front door and knock. This is an absolute joke of a company, I would never recommend you to anyone. This is not just the 1st or 2nd time Australia Post has done this. No idea how your company is still even running? Thank you for making me waste my day off waiting for nothing but a piece of cardboard in my letterbox.

The Grand International Post Scam - There is NO international tracking.

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html GoScoop NORTH LAKES, Queensland     2 reviews     5 helpful votes NO Tracking for International Registered Post 1 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 31, 2017 I've purchased the registered international prepaid satchel to sent a letter to USA. It is clearly stated on the satchel as well as online that this item includes tracking (with email notification) Be Aware this is a SCAM! My letter never arrived in the US and on following up with AUS Post customer care I was informed that they CAN NOT track the letter once arrived in the US! They could only tell me that it left AUS. Utterly unacceptable! If this is the case AUS Post should state this in the advertising of the prepaid service. POOR SHOW AUS POST! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Interestingly enough, other people have said the same thing. Australia Post = Fraud)

I am overwhelmed by your efficiency.

https://www.facebook.com/australiapost/posts_to_page/ ‎Wanjiru Kinyanjui‎ Perth, WA · I am overwhelmed by your efficiency. I mean how else do you explain leaving me a mail collection notice for Malaga post office only to get there and they say it's not been delivered there. They asked me to check Mirrabooka and they too said it's not there only to get another notice yesterday from Nollamara post office saying if I don't pick up my package in three days they'll send it back. If this is not efficiency I don't know what is. I called your customer service line before getting the second notice and they said sadly they cannot do anything and asked me to ask the sender to track it from their post office overseas. Amazing job you guys do. The guy didn't even bother to write the full tracking number just a part of it so I couldn't trace it. Thank you and please keep up the good work.

Star Struck about Australia Post Star Track

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/star-track-express.html Annoyed customer Unhelpful and rude customer service, non-existent delivery  1 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 30, 2017 I received a slip notifying me of a parcel when I was home ALL DAY. The slip had no information other than collect after 1pm. Despite having waited at home for the parcel and the driver not actually attempting to deliver it, I went to the post office. The parcel wasn't there. I rang customer service and they told me they could do nothing, couldn't re-organise delivery, they couldn't track the driver, the list goes on. I wasted HOURS waiting for this parcel and the customer service couldn't care less. I've asked for it to be re-delivered and left on my door step tomorrow. I'll keep the forum posted as to the outcome. They stated in the letter they had been in contact with my local PO regarding the complaint. Prob is i NEVER complained about the local PO, I never even mentioned the local PO in my initial complaint, There was nothing in the as to letter why the Aust Post contractor dropped my parcel at the local shops. US postal service pegs it's price rises to the rate of inflation. Aus Post doesn't.

Sir Steals Alot, sets the prices of Australia Post, according to the amount of graft he and the rest of the snouts in the trough executive can take, being both on the bored of directors and the CEO... So we get nearly daily astronomical price rises.... And it costs $5 to get it sent to Australia, and $500 to send it back. Just fucking Amazzin! 50 + invitations posted, 20 went missing.

20 out of every 50 letters posted go missing? What the fuck? https://www.facebook.com/australiapost/posts_to_page/ ‎Kristee Gammon‎ I have a serious complaint. 2 weeks before Christmas i posted over 50 invitations to friends and family for my baby daughter's very special (once only) naming day. Seeing as postage is $1 that is over $50. I have since discovered that quite a number of my posted invitations did NOT make their destinations?!?! So i have basically paid about $20 for a failed service! All invited are very special to us but there were people we had not seen for a very long time that we coincidentally ran into the DAY OF the event and informed me that they never received their invitation! We invited all our nearest and dearest and alot of them now think we didnt invite them to one of our (many to come) important days for our daughter! Send a care to get fucked package

https://www.facebook.com/australiapost/ Kylie O'Brien International post is a rip off. Hope to move overseas mid-year and I won't be receiving any care packages when it costs $36.95 to send a 560g jar of Vegemite (standard, without tracking) to Sweden - let alone if they wanted to fill the package with anything else! Add in the weight of the postage box, an aussie flag and let's say that 330g value pack of TimTams and you'd probably end up just over the 1kg mark which will be $49.91 for $12 worth of goods. Jason Fowler Auspost couldn't even deliver vacuum parts to my house correctly, and a keyring I ordered ended up two towns over at an IGA despite my name address and phone number being on the package. Julie-Anne Jensen postage internationally is absolutely rediculous cost!! i was in utter shock the other week i did a post of something so light but had to fit in a 3kg bag and cost me $50ish to send to usa!!!

No "Attempted Delivery"

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html PC Sydney     5 reviews     2 comments     1 answer     3 helpful votes No "Attempted Delivery" 1 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 27, 2017 Local delivery contractor constantly "attempts" deliveries without ringing or leaving cards. Three out of four deliveries this week were "attempts" when someone was home. Never knocked, didn't leave a card. I got the fourth because I spotted him in his van and asked for it. I didn't trust he would "attempt" to deliver. Total crap service. Might as well use StarTrak or some other 1/10 customer service company. It'll cost less for the same crap level of customer service Australia Post has reached.

Postage costs more but less service

http://www.productreview.com.au/p/australia-post.html Jean     1 review     1 helpful vote Postage costs more but less service 1 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 27, 2017 I sent a birthday card on Monday 9th January but they are still waiting for it. You put your postage stamps up to a dollar but the service for postage is terrible. So not only have I lost the cost of the card but also a stamp, should have hand delivered at least it would be guaranteed of arriving. Asking at the post office was told if want to get there quicker I have to pay an extra 50c what a joke. Surely by now it should have been delivered especially as the card was sent and to be delivered in the same state.

R243598000336125 sent from Robertson 2577 to Greensborough, VIC 3088 on 16 January...... still hasn't been delivered despite being an Express Post satchel. Every day tracking says 'In Transit'!! It is so unproductive for businesses, we pay for a service that does not exist. Fillin Ya In

https://www.facebook.com/australiapost/ Tommy McCrossin Auspost customers. So after a long and confusing discussion with Aus post I can now fill you in on the expectations you should have when using Australia posts standard post service. Aus post will offer you a timeframe, however they are in no way obligated to honour it. If you send a parcel and it takes a year to be delivered there is literally nothing you can do as this fits into Aus posts terms of service. You will never get a refund for a late delivery through Aus posts for standard post as there is no such thing as a late delivery. As a small business owner my suggestion is to use express post only, that way you can get your postage refunded when Aus post invariably delivered the item late. It's not a win but it's less of a loss.

https://www.facebook.com/australiapost/ Irene Kucyk 13Post is a waste of time - the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing - I was specifically told that on 25th January by parcel was on the van, I rang twice and I was told definately on van, at 5pm I rang and I was told that parcel was not on van, will not be on van. Supposedly insufficient address when they were told the address and apparently the correct address on customs attached to parcel doesnt count. I want to know what the address on parcel is, the parcel is addressed to me, my name is on there. Anyway I have taken the matter further up and I am not letting go of this. Package arrived in Australia on 9th January, on 24th I rang to enquire and I was told insufficient address. The lady rang later and said on the van and the driver thought my address 13-17 was a unit. This is an example of how full of shit the management of Australia Post are:

"“The system we use to process driver and vehicle services have been integrated with Australia Post’s systems. This means information exchanged between the two systems provides a seamless customer experience, Saunders says." Australia Post should not be trusted at all, with anything. Landed in Sydney on 03/01/17 from HK by DHL. Have contacted Vendor in regards to tracking ID, re-directed to DHL and Aus Post. Worked out that Australia Post had the responsibility of the final delivery from Sydney to Melb to Residence. However, on further clarification, the package level my vendor sent the parcel with did not include tracking services for the Australian leg of the trip. Fair enough.
